DDM 55 watt
The lights started acting up like this this week. When I turn on the car, one side doesnt turn on at all. Then I get the Bulb Out message and have to turn off the car completely and on again in order for the light to turn on again and for the Bulb out message to go away. I haven't experienced the lights turning off once they come on though, so that's good.
I experienced the same problem in my previous vehicle and installing the relay harness fixed the issue. Not sure if that'll be the case here.
I doubt it's the battery since I just picked up the car in August, 2010 brand new, but I'm gonna get it check out first anyways.

It is now sometimes flickering on one side during start up. I have to completely turn off the car then turn on car again for the light to turn on. There were at least three times when I had to open the hood and reconnect all lines for HID on that specific side for the HID to turn on.
I'm starting to think I got the bad batch of ballast as some members were talking about previously. I'm gonna contact DDM and see to switching another 55watt set.

Just wanted to update this thread with my experiences. Since its been a while now.
Have absolutely ZERO problems with my kit. Have only experienced 3 times where one of the bulbs would turn off (because I have no error eliminator installed, just a 55w kit). If anyone is on the fence about doing this conversion, DO IT!
I would use AZN's new ballasts/kit. They come with error cancelers built in so they are worry-free. The install is VERY easy - even a caveman can do it!

After almost 4 years of running DDM’s my head lights started to acting up, sometimes the right light won’t turn on or the left one won’t turn on, it’s time for a new kit.

Chenn88 I would think the only place where you could get this clip right away if they have it in stock is the dealership and be careful cause that almost happen to me -__-

Hey man, honestly I would do a 35w kit in the lows and save the 55w kit for the highs. 35w is already so much light and beyond that you will just be blinding people. If the 55w is in your highs then that isnt an issue. Luckily our bulbs for low/high are the same so you could easily try this out for yourself to see. But also if you want the bluish look with a 55w kit you will need to get 8k in order to match a 6k 35w kit.
Also DDM kits are really great. Have them in 4 cars with no issues.

6000k has a slight blue. If you want pure white, try to find 5000k.

Dumb Error Question - Easy I'm Sure
I was just wondering if I need to be concerned when ordering the error flicker cancellers as I have 55W ballasts that are flickering like a disco. I have a pair on my 35W fogs and they are running clean. I'm almost done with a major front end redo of lighting and just need this last question answered before I head to the dealer to pay $150 to STAR me for Xenon-on........Thanks in advance.

Error cancelers are only required if the car throws an error message that the light is out (and usually cuts power). If its flickering you might need a wiring harness to help it get more power (as analog ballasts are power hungry, especially on start up).
