Hood won't completely close/shut on passenger's side.. HELP

my W204's hood won't completely close.
Driver's side is fine when I slam the hood down.
However, passenger's headlight side would not completely close and there is a gap.

I don't see anything different between left and right side. (no objects, no difference in parts sizes, no accidents)

Can someone please help me? Is it the latch going wrong?

usually slamming it hard would work
baby it by pressing with palm will dent it and leave gaps

I would not be slamming the bonnet down for fear of damaging the catches ect. All I do is let the bonnet fall from a height of about 2 ft.

If it is not closing correctly & fully I suggest you have the catches adjusted by someone who knows what they are doing.

This is a common problem. If you close it gently and push down, it will not close evenly on both sides.

As carsy said, let the hood fall from a height of about 1ft (works for me), it will close evenly.

I had this same problem before... took it back to the dealer and they adjusted something in the hood mechanism which helped but it still on occasion won't sit flush when I close the hood... Same as what others said, just drop the hood from a height of 12-16 inches and it should sit well on both corners

I drop mine from 15.2875" for the perfect closure, I recommend it.

Letting your hood fall won't damage anything. Try that.

Take it to the dealer, it has to be adjusted.

I noticed this a month after I bought my car. I called the dealer and he said there needs to be even pressure on both sides of the hood when closing it, regardless of height. if not perhaps a trip to the dealer.
