2 reasons. fills out the fender gap more and ride quality is 100% more comfortable then 225/30r20. Speedo is only out by 5km at 100km/hr so so big deal. The w204 is so heavy that the stock size on a 20" wheel rides like crap!

What's the max size I can put on C180? Talked to a rim dealer who told me MAX 18 inch 235/40 with ET45
Is that really true ?
He said that the fenders of the C180 is smaller than C260 etc.
Hope someone can help.

Hey guys plan on lowering my 2008 c350 with h&r super sports and putting on 19x10 rear wheels in a 50mm offset .. Do you think i will rub with passengers on a 265/30-19 tire?
I read through up to 25 pages and from what I gather the recommended size for our w204 if you have 19" are:
235/35/19 F
265/30/19 R
But when I calculate it I should get 215/35/19 F and 245/30/19 R. Another site when I compare that size to stock http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/ it's perfect fit it looks like. I am going to go with 45 offset.
My stock is 225/45/17 F and 245/40/17 R and not planning to lower

Sorry if this has been addressed previously, but I have read through about 21 pages of posts mainly with you guys going to 19's or bigger rims. I just scored a set of C63 rims that require new tyres. I was thinking of going with 235/40/18 (F) and 265/35/18 (R) and just want to know if I will have any 'rubbing' issues. Thanks in advance.
Not exactly a will it rub question. This is what will it look like?
I'm caught between 18s and 19s staggered. But on this side of the pond we dont have so much options in 18 staggered.
I'm going to get one customised and the makers gave me this specs to choose from
F 18 x 8.5 ET 15-52mm
R 18 x 10 ET 15-65mm
What offset do you think will be the perfect flush fit for those wheels in the range the wheel manufacturer gave?
Do you think the 10J at the rear is too much?
oh its a C180 2008, base model, stock suspension
Edit:
Do i absolutely need 50+ on the rear for a 19 or 18 rim?
I ve got this AEZ Portofino i'm looking @ and its 45 F and 45 R
Its a 19inch rim

I think I finally found wheels to my 320cdi, AEZ Portofino dark in 19". All wheels are 8,5" and ET45. Which is best tire size for that ? May I put F 225/35 and R 255/30 or does it look funny ? I mean that front could be little stretch and back is ooohooohm....not stretch (can´t find words
) Am I right ?
Or is it better 235/35 all over ? And could I use any brand of tires without fear of rubbing ? I think rear is clear with any size but if I put 235/35 in front with ET45 and tire gonae be Nankang NS-2 does rub when in turn or when drive in bumbs ? I am gonna lower with H&R SuperSports.

I'm about to buy 20x8.5, ET45 with 225/35R20. I have 20x8.5 ET35 with 225/35R20 and had major rubbing in the front. I don't want to buy the new rims fi ther's even a chance they'll rub. Just want to make 100% sure that woth the higher offset I won't have problems wih rubbing and you're the only one I can find running 225/35R20 with 20's. Any info would be great.
Thanks
