With those 19's will rub just due to ET's and tire size even at stock height. They will rub with dips/bumps but would be ok at flat roads. Plus with those tire size your spedometer will be off.

Front 17X7.5 (47mm offset), tires are 225/40/17

Rear 17X8.5 (58mm offset), tires are 255/40/17

I'm thinking about buying a set of wheels from a member here but want to make sure they will fit without rubbing.

Front 19X8.5 (32mm offset), tires are 245/40/19

Rear 19X9.5 (41mm offset), tires are 275/35/19

From the looks of it, the wheels will stick out about an inch or so to the outside and about a 10th of an inch to the inside.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. That's what I thought but wanted to confirm. It will probably be easier going from 17 to 18s, with much less need for any modifications, right?

I guess I'll keep looking.

In 19's common et's are Front 19x8.5 45F 19x9.5 45R - this will get you pretty flush with the fender without rubbing even lowered and loaded car. Tire size is 235/35/19 - 265/30/19

Lowest ET fronts for 19's I would recommend is 42 and 44 for rear. Slight rubbing on dips depending on able of road but not major. This can be fixed with alignment and or skinnier tires. 225/35/19 - 255/30/19
Skinny Brand tires (means their sidewall shoulders are usually designed rounded which will give more clearance to our fenders)
Falken, Sumitomo and Nitto
Other brands usually have a more squared shoulder design.

You may as other guys opinion on this.

~ the perfect offset ... keeping things tucked inside the wheel well... retaining the stock look.

Try almost 5K on TireRack. So after the KW3's and tires he's pushing 9K and then if he added Eibach sways that would be close to the new price of a Cheap Kia....ha ha.

~ stock look as in ... keeping the rims edge inside the wheel well. i'm all about a larger size (19s) and different wheels but hate when aftermarket rims hang outside the fender (looks like a misfit imo).

Now I'm really confused. Based on all the other info in this thread I would have thought a 35 offset with those wheel specs would have them sticking out more than that but they look fine. Any rubbing? Is it lowered?

Its on standard sport suspension at the moment, the fronts sit nice and flush with the arches, the rears do stick out slightly at around 7mm so need to get that sorted. No rubbing however unless you have two adults in the back then it does slightly on bad dips in the road.

Stock sport suspension and stock lugs as well. I feel like the camera angle is playing tricks because the tire gap is slightly larger than it appears. A drop to H&R sports should remedy the issue but local road conditions are giving me second thoughts about dropping.

Just to help you out with something. When considering wheels you need to look at the fact that there are wheel companies like ours that will create the wheels just as you want them! Meaning if you want the tires to be perfectly aligned with the fenders, they will be! If you want them tucked in, say so! That's why a custom forged wheel costs more since it offers a lighter wheel, custom machined to your exact needs, plus all the other goodies a forged wheel provides.

Small example of our monoblocks on an SL55 we did a while ago!

Here the customer wanted this exact look and fitment and we did just that! We can have a customer that wants an extra wide wheel, which will be used in a widebody conversion, we do it. Something more OEM looking, same thing.

Guys I have an opportunity to pick up a set of racing hart m5 3 piece wheels 18x8.5 fronts 18x10 rears +44 all around. Would this set up work on a stock C300 Sport? Would I need spacers?

Thanks

If you want no rubbing, you will need a higher ET for that rear, at least in the 50's.

Thanks Loonie. I'm going to Germany to live there for 2 years in January so I'm going to try and find all the good stuff I can from there for my C. Or trade it in when I get back and get a C63.
