You sir have helped me make my final decision. Before I order, do you rub and do you have the fenders rolled?

2010 Calcite C300 with AMG Sports Package
I have just purchased (Jan 14) and am running the following:
Front 8" X 18" with ET 45 with Continental ‘ContiSport3’ 235/40/18 (F) and
Rear 9" X 18" with ET 54 with Continental ‘ContiSport3’ 265/35/18 (R)
Loaded up the car with the family and all our gear for a weeks holiday travelled 1200Kms with no 'rubbing' issues whatsoever.

Yeah I used to rub but i cut the inner lining of the rear fender and shaved where the bumber and fender meet a bit and had pulled them a little, also im running -1.9 camber which helped stop the rubbing

I just spoke to my buddy who is a manager at discount and he's telling me that he's not 100% that these tires won't rub. Is anybody else running this same setup??

Not getting the pads. I like a slightly raked look. If it rubs in the front I'll just roll the fenders. Will post pics! I'm running a skinny 225 as well, those 452s run wide. I should be in good shape.

I am looking at TSW wheels for my 2008 C300 4 Matic Sport, the car is not lowered.

W204's and offsets of wheels-alloy-wheels-rims-tsw-mirabeau-5-lug-rear-silver-std-700.jpg

I would like them in 19x8 or 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear, will they fit without rubbing?

What should I be looking for in an offset?

Thanks snickaren! stock springs only but car is a 4matic. 1/16 gas on tank so it will drop a tad little on the rear when filled with gas.

Hey all...

I'm thinking about these rims for my ride. http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroo...ath=53_325_330
Do you think they will work on stock springs? I'm going for 9,5 rear and my ride has the AMG/Sport package.

Which Et should you recomend for the front wheels?

Here's a link to the tyre package's they offer http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroo...ge-options.php

What would you recomend, I want staggered in the rear? (Me like it wide )

Tnx

It the same as the RW drive version accept the front is a little bit lower because of the weight of the 4matic (I think) so it rakes a bit. When I have a full tank of gas I find the drop at the back perfect. I can barely fit my two fingers between the front fender and tire even on the stock 17" then at the back I will say 3ish fingers give or take. For the front wheels I say 44 is the best. You can go lower than 44 but you might have to run skinny tires.

Great looking wheels and very good fit!

Just for my education I have a question why did you go "square" with the wheel size but them staggered in the tire size? Since you cant rotate this set up why not stagger the wheels too?

I was planning on getting continental dws on 235/40r18 for all corners but when I was about to go to the tire store my friendly MB sales person called me and asked me if I am interested for a brand new take-off of michelins from an e-class that he just sold as the guy who bought the e-class also bought upsize rims+ tires as part of the deal. The fact that he is selling it to me for a jaw dropping $350 for all four is something an idiot won't take. Just one 255s cost $280+tax so basically I got almost all of the tires for peanuts.

Here are couple of shots of the ride after getting washed and half detailed. Now I just need to get those spoilers but can't decide which one.

@shotgun banjo, why run 235/40 up front?

They are almost 2% larger than stock while your rears are a perfect match, you can tell by your pics that the front tires look bigger.

I would run 225/40

Maybe it is the camera angle but I barely notice the difference using my eyeballs. Actually it made the ride a tad softer maybe beacuse of the extra width of the tire and I like it better than the stock tires setup. Also if I ran 225 for me it will look too stretched on 8.5" rims and I kinda like the square look.
