Hey guys,
I did a little research before purchasing all the PCMCIA adapter, and SDHC card, and found that people have had the most luck with the Sandisk 6-in-1 PCMCIA adapter, and higher end SDHC cards (i.e. Sandisk).
I purchased a 16GB SDHC Sandisk Ultra (High Speed), filled it up with all the music i want on there (about 800 Mb free).
When i insert my SDHC card into the PCMCIA adapter, and put it in the car, i load up the memory card option off the command. It takes awhile to load, then after about a minute or two, it says "No Readable Files".
Anyone seen this before? Should i look at getting a different brand SDHC card?
Thanks,
Ben

I bought one off ebay (china brand) and it works perfectly. I use it with a 16gb SDHC currently.
quick search on Ebay:

I use a different one but they're all the same.

Not sure if this will be of any help, but I get this "No Readable Files" error every so often. Usually i take it it out and pop it back in and it works, and more recently in the cold weather I'd breathe some hot air on it to get it working.
I've personally gone with a wireless AUX solution and have not looked back. Hopefully you have an AUX, mine was hidden.

Only issue I'm seeing now is that some of my folders/files are missing, I'm assuming this is because i have too many folders...?

Happens to me every so often as well...appears that extreme temps are the cause. I currently can't get the unit to read my card even though it's only about 70 degrees.
The old Nintendo trick sometimes works as well....take it out and blow into the open end lol

Mine works, did the eBay thing with the PCMCIA adapter and a 16GB card. Weird thing that happens to mine is that sometimes, I'll copy over files, and all the files I transfer over will play the same song (and not the full song, clips of it). It gets all mixed up. No idea why that happens but very annoying.

Still running into a bit of trouble here guys, i re-organized my directories keeping in mind the folder/file limitations, but some folders still aren't showing up......
Any ideas? Maybe i need a different card / adapter....?

All of the files are in mp3 format, i scoped around most of the folders, and it doesn't look like anything got split up...
This is frustrating

I gave up on using a SD card to transfer songs onto the harddrive. All our headunits play dvds, so why not just burn all your music onto 4.7gb dvd's? It's much easier and you will have greater capacity in the end by just using DVD's.

I unload and load new songs all the time so the SD card is perfect for me. If the ipod integration didn't suck so bad, I'd have gone that route. So far never had any problems with my reader or card since purchase.

Same thing is happening to me now...AGAIN. Do you think it's a problem with the PCMCIA adaptor or the SD card or the head unit itself?
I'm thinking it's not the SD card b/c my computer has no problem reading it
