HTC Incredible (pairing and contacts)

I have an older LG 8360 flip phone on Verizon which pairs and can send contacts just fine to my 2009 C300 sport (no Comand). I'm looking at the HTC Incredible. Anyone using this phone and any problems pairing or sending contacts? I checked this site but am not sure if it is up-to-date.

Thanks. I guess waiting for a new model is the same with PC's, etc. You can wait forever and never get one because there are always new models coming out. I just have to determine if the HTC Incredible can sync contacts. Maybe I can try, before buy. I think I prefer the Droid over the iPhone anyway.

If anyone has an answer on contact sync with the Incredible, that would help.

Does anyone know if the car's contact list (sent from my Verizon LG 8360) is unique to the phone (i.e. does each paired phone use it's own "car" contact list)? What I mean is, if I pair an additional phone (e.g. HTC Incredible) can I still make calls with the current contact list in the car? If that's the case, then a workaround for me, in case the HTC cannot send contacts to the car, could be to create the contact in the LG, send it to the car, and then make a call with the HTC. Is this even possible? Does the contact even need to exist in the HTC to make a call, if the contact is in the car's contact list?

Once you transfer the contact list from your 8360, it will permanently stay there, until you decide to delete it. So, if you already have contacts and connect an Incredible to the bluetooth, those contacts will remain.

Aside from that, the Incredible should have no trouble sending contacts over to the Merc.

BTW - Assuming your VX8360 still works well, I would wait another 2 months before jumping to buy a phone.

Thanks for the info. I just verified what you said by deleting a contact from my 8360 and still successfully making a call to the number.

Just curious,... why do you say wait for 2-mo? iPhone? Something else?

yw. Verizon is releasing a number of 4G devices, that perform better than the current Android selection, and are worth waiting for.

Only downside is that most of them will be as big as the Droid X, but when you're doing video conferencing you would want the bigger screen.

the iPhone..

Yeah, bigger is a downside for me, which is why I'm looking at HTC Incredible vs. Droid-2, or Droid-X.

No problem pairing or maintaining connection with HTC Incredible at all. Now I just have to try contact transfer. I see one (small) problem I think. My previous LG let me "select all" contacts and transfer all at once. As far as I can tell, I might have to transfer one at a time with the HTC. If I can do that I'll be happy.

IIRC, There's an application that allows you to send all the contacts in one shot.

Do you know what its called and where i can get it from?

I also only see option to send 1 contact at a time in Incredible.

Anyone know what Vcard format (2.1, 3.0) satisifes MB C300?

UPDATE: It did not matter when sending contacts from the Incredible to the C300 because it just worked. If I decide to export all contacts as a single file then I guess I might need to look into it further.
