Los Angeles LEASE C300 - Experts Please HELP, yes another Lease Question....

Hi guys,

I currently own a C300, and my sis wants to lease a 2011 C300. Can the experts please help with the stats and formula to see if it's a good deal? I haven't gotten the interest rate and residual yet to calculate the formula but details are as follows:

MSRP of $37,970.

27 month term

$369 p/m + tax

$3,000 down

10k annual miles.

I know the formulas, but what's a good interest rate and residual right now?

Or is this a good deal in general?

Thanks everyone!!

Dude that's a good deal , my car is leased for 3 years and I pay 550 a month . Of anything you should pay s little extra and opt for a 12 thousand mile program. Just my two cents .

My sister just leased a 2011 c300 4matic at the end of the year in september. They were running a manufacturer incentive promotion that I believe is referred to as "The Ambassador". She didn't get any packages really except 4matic, automatic, heated seats and wood trim. ~ came out to around 38,500 MSRP if i'm not mistaken. While there were good incentives and residuals that time of the month, and I also got her a $1,000 certificate from the U.S. Open. Her deal was as follows:

27 month lease, 12,000 miles / year
$351/month, $2900 Total out of pocket (included taxes and any fees).
They also ate up 3 months of her old Infiniti g35 lease @ $450/month
Buyout at end of lease $28,500

Also, when you say $3,000 down, is that down and then you pay taxes and fees additionally, or down as in total out of pocket (taxes and fees included)?

On the contrary, I got a bit raped on my lease.

39 months lease, 12,000 miles / year
$371/month, $6,000 Total out of pocket
MSRP 42,000.
Buyout at end of lease $20,000

Is there a big difference between 2008-2010 and the 2011?

I went to Carmax, found an 08 with 16,000miles and paid $26,000. I don't regret it. And also if she has a trade in, they give good amounts on their appraisals to buy the car off you.

Wow, that's a pretty good deal. Which dealership was it? This is a good platform for me to work off of.

The MSRP for the car is: $37,970 which is less than your sisters. We were quoted $3,000 down including taxes and fees.

It was at Huntington Mercedes on Long Island (new york). WhileI doubt you will get as good a deal, it doesn't hurt to try. My sister had the $1,000 voucher, customer loyalty, and the ambassador program on her side. If your numbers were including the taxes and fees like you said, than your deal isn't bad at all. Have you tried seeing what extending it to 39 months does to the lease?

Yeah, also the market is different in Los Angeles as opposed to NY. I will try though. Thanks.

Everyone is going to hate me for saying this but....she's only leasing for a couple of years to wait for the new Lexus IS to purchase.

At my dealership the C63 was $550 a month during the AMG promotion program they were having. Check back at your dealership at the end of June beginning of July and ask them about this program. It only runs until August 1 so you have to act quick. My brother leased an E63 for $850 a month.

Any monthly payment is possible if you put enough down/cap red. How much down did he put and how much down for a C63 at $550 (including tax?)

I don't know about the C63 but my brother put down $3,500 for the E63. They were trying to get rid of their inventory and prices were rock bottom. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an E63 also (and believe me my bro reminds me at every chance he gets ) The two cars he was interested in was the C63 or the E63. The C63 came out to be $550 a month and the E63 came out to be $850 a month and he ended up going with the E. Back in the summer both C63 and E63 forums were buzzing with the deals people were getting.

I spoke to my dealer recently about it and he said that they are expecting better deals this summer with the rumors of the new E63 engines coming out. Keep your eyes and ears peeled people because they don't really advertise this. Make friends with your dealer and give them a call end of June beginning of July.

That is/was a great deal on the E63, the C63 at $550 a month is probably a more appealing deal to me. I got my new E550 at a huge the discount also because the dealer just wanted to get rid of it before the end of the year and with customer loyalty incentives. Looks like there are great deals to be had on the lower volume models. I was looking at a used C63 but it may be cheaper to buy a new one.

Ok, after some shopping around and haggling with my usual dealership sales person we came up with:

MSRP of $37,970-Walnut trim
-Basic navigation w/ ipod
-automatic transmission

33 month term
$340 p/m + tax (discounted from $369)

$3,000 down
12k annual miles (upgraded from 10k)

what do you guys think?

Another round of ICE
I know you are looking for financial feedback on the lease terms, but I am still mystified as to the choice of a C Class if her true desire is a Lexus. These are such different experiences that I wonder how "happy" these next 33 months will be for you or her. Is the C as an interim car really her choice or yours? Why not work out a deal with a Lexus dealer which will let her move into her car of choice when it launches (assuming she wants to actually buy any new car in it's first year of production, especially a company which has been tripping over itself recently as much as has Toyota).

WOW that's a deal on the E63. Is that 850 before or after Taxes?

I'm not paying all that much less for an E350 (bought before the Winter incentives).

I'd be curious to see how the prices on the '11 E63's are, come July-December (or whenever they start blowing 'em out).

How hard is it to get out of a Lease?

Yeah it was a pretty awesome deal. The $850 is before taxes. I'm paying $800 for my E350 so for an extra $50 plus tax to upgrade to an AMG would be pretty fantastic. On the downside its been a really crappy winter here in Jersey so the AMG would have been garage ridden for a while so it just would be a waste for me but for you in Cali it would be totally worth it.

I think the incentives this summer would be better, or at least the same, as this past summer's. The 2012 E-Class AMG is rumored to have a new engine coming out and if that is true dealers would want to get rid of their 2011s. Give your dealer a buzz and see if he can tell you anything but being the end of January I think it might still be a bit soon. And as for getting out of a lease early; I heard good things about Lease Trader. The is pretty simple and they have worked with MB Financial before. I like browsing the site but some of the prices seem a little out there for me.
