I officially HATE the winter!

So I am getting sick and tired of these recent winters here on Long Island. First my fog light broke (I finally got around to getting Lamin-X installed) and now today I get home and discover that my sidemarker is SHATTERED and completely missing with only the bulb there.

I guess it gives me a reason to get new ones, but I don't know what I have to order. Do new clear/smoked ones come with the whole housing? I took a picture but can't upload it at the moment. I peered in and to my surprise my bulbs are clear. I also can't see any evidence of me having a torx screw holding it in, but I guess I will find out when I get to the install. What should I clean the bulb with since it now has water and probably road salt on it?

I am getting tired of all the stupid little issues with this car.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am stuck between the smoked or the clear. I was going to get clear because my car is white. But then I thought that the smoked would look better on my car because of my lamin-x tint on my fogs and headlights. What do you think (car is in the signature).

Tell me about it! The only time my car got washed was for a dealer visit last month!

Get clear.

I am sick of it too. I can't believe how much it has snowed in your area this winter.

I know, I had two snowblowers. Both broke this season. One ate up the belt and the other had its churner broken by the ice. But ti didn't really matter as the snow on the sides of my driveway is well over 4 feet high and my snowblowers wouldn't be able to throw over it. I hear more snow for today and tomorrow, nothing crazy, but enough is enough.

Interesting that you said clear. I was thinking more smoke because of my lamin-x. I just don't want it to stick out like a sore thumb... But I guess clear is always safer, especially if I take off my films... Should I put in LED or leave the oem clear bulbs? If I did LED I guess I should match my eyelids... 8000k. Would that look too ricer, and possibly attract too much attention (blue-ish color)?

With the Lamin-X I would go clear and get a small amount from Lamin-X for the sides cut your own size. That way they all match.

I couldn't agree with you more about the winter we are having on Long Island, more snow is on the way too. I haven't driven my 2011 C300 Sport in about a week. I have been driving my Lincoln Navigator. I am happy I have the option to not drive the Benz when it snows however I miss driving it and cannot wait until spring.

I got my side markers from Ebay... It comes with it's own plastic housing and wedge bulb... Just swap out the wedge bulb with LEDs Mine has a small screw that holds the housing to the plastic lens outside

Clear or smoked will blend in nicely with your car

I would get clear. If you don't like the look, put Lamin-X over it

I don't know how it is in LI, but the roads here in Brooklyn - resemble those of a war torn city.

the side streets on long island keep getting narrower and narrower, there running out of places to put the snow, and more snows on the way I believe, should be interesting.

At least you can drive your car. My 63 has been garaged since the Xmas storm. I tried to take it out for a spin last week, but I only got as far the end of my driveway where I hit some slush and spun the tires. I just put it into reverse and parked it back in the garage. Good thing I have other cars to use. lolz

Yea this weather blows. I used to have a white car, now it's two tone, arctic dirty lol. And should I mention potholes galore? Just cuz it's called arctic white doesn't mean it's to drive in the arctic.

Get smoked, it looks great on our cars. I think the clear will stick out like a sore thumb IMO.
