*Lease is up! Nissan GT-R for next car
So, as the thread title says, my lease is up really soon!
And it's time for a new car.
Initially i was dead set on the E550 coupe, but not as much anymore.
I'm almost certain that I'm gonna go for the new Nissan GT-R.
I'm not a fan of japanese cars, and i'm all about german engineering, but this car is just a savage beast.
what do you guys think?

I say go for it that car is nuts , and it has day to day livability too . Not to mention how much power you can pull out of it with just a tune . If i had the money i would get one .

We've got a GT-R in the stable and that thing is a beast. Raw power. Not a great DD though as ride quality isn't smooth, but damn if that thing can fly.

No problem... i like a rough ride haha!
what size are those wheels?
i was thinking my first mods would be 22'' adv.1 concaves and meisterchaft exhaust for the GT-R

I LOVE the GT-R, but I've heard maintenance can be pricey (surprising for a Nissan). I could afford the car, but can't imagine paying $6000 for a brake job.
But then again, I guess the GT2,GT3, and the Black Series would be about the same.

I love that car! And for the $$ you will not find anything as new that will give you that much power/performance.. I do know that if you wanted to "mod" the car its crazy expensive. And please don't put 22's on it lol.. 20's is enough

'tis a beast, can't imagine one as a DD. I've friends who have had and sold on their GTR's, mainly based on reliability and service costs. Both are in Houston, and still have to have the dealer fly in a mechanic ever time there's a hickup.
I spent about 10 hours driving across Texas in one, and while it's a blast to run, it's brutal on the kidneys and teeth! :P

My neighbor has a GT-R he lets me drive, and I keep nagging him about taking it to the track, and he says he needs to take it in for a $5,000 maintenance before tracking it or they will void his warranty. They also say he can't use his launch control or they will void his warranty, in fact unless you drive it like it's not a sports car, they will void your warranty. I'll never buy a Nissan for the way they treat their customers after hearing about how horrible they are about voiding the warranty at every corner on their flagship car. I'd be much happier in an SLK AMG, just knowing that Mercedes is going to take care of me around every corner. I think he's also got to take it in for service every 5,000 miles or something, it seems like he's taking it in for service every few months.
