Could be one of your belt pulleys. I had the same problem on my car. Replaced a belt pulley and the sound went away.

Hey thanks for starting the thread. I have the same issue but it only occurs on cold starts. Can it be something else other than the pulleys?

ha - i figured it out guys, its a little embarrassing but..
Today, i went and got a new grille, and i noticed it after the grille change. and i thougth it was from the belts but actually the mechanic who put my grille in messed up on the wires and it was touching the fan right behind the grill. which was making the noise. so it was an easy fix. but good to know there are belt problems. now that i got this one solved next time ill know if somethign sounds funky.. check the belts! haha.

There is something wrong with this story.

The electric fan is behind the radiator which is behind the AC condenser. And there are no wires anywhere near the fan anyway.

And there is only one belt. There have been some idler pulley replacements because of noises.

Hard to see how a grille change could cause any of this.

Because in order to get the grille out, he had to take some of the wires off the board that holds up the intake. and im guessing he didnt put it back. and just let it hang

That "wire" you mention is a rubber hose leading to the radiator overflow tank and if this leaks, you are in big trouble. It must be pushed into that clip above the fan area.

You better check it for damage.

I had the same thing happen to me after my car was worked on, that hose was rubbing up against the fan blade. But theres a big diference in sound between that and a squeaky belt.. i had both issues actually happen to me.

Had an intermittent squeak for a while that was fixed at my Service B appt last week. There is a bulletin for a diff set of pulleys which fixed the problem completely.

Can you post the number from your receipt?
That is another one of my issues that the shop somehow can't find any record of...and of course my car seems to know when it is at the shop and refuses to squeak while there....

I though this thread was going towards right direction First to pinpoint the squeak sound which I noticed after driving car first time after being parked for 5 days, I sprayed it with water (directly on grill also) to get the spring helicopter things that fall off trees and it was wet out after rain, not sure how that effects the sound . So after driving 5 miles still same thing even at idle but few stop and goes and idle squeak went off just slight squeak during drive.. Does anyone oil their idle and other pulleys at certain interval? I didn't think it was necessary

After sitting for 5 years I guess it is not surprising that you hear some weird noises. Could be a number of things causing it like brittle belts or rusted pulleys. Cars do not like to sit for long periods of time.
