Warm up issue...

Is there a reason why the C300's take long to warm up?? I have 2 other older cars and they warm up in half the time.

I don't know if it is any different or not. But when I changed from the OEM 5w-40 oil to 0w-40 I "feel" like the car warms up MUCH faster.

It's a lot more engine oil to warm up. We have 9 compare to the normal 5 qourt of oil.

+1 That's exactly why it takes longer to warm up your W204 as opposed to your other cars.

try not turning on your heater when your warming it up? for my car, when its like half way warmed up and i blast the heater, the temperature goes down again.. but for our cars i believe that you don't have to warm it up fully... just wait like 1 minute, then drive slow till fully warmed up.

It despends on what you mean by "long". I leave my climate control on Auto all the time and it blows realtively warm air (even in cold New England weather), within a few miles of driving.

My car takes a couple of minutes to send warm air through the heater vents but about 6km travelling for the temperature guage to reach operating temp. ( Warm Temperate Climate)
This is a couple of Km longer than my previous car which did not heat the interior as quickly.
I think there is a message here.
