Blacked out front midsection - yes/no?

Hi guys,

I'm new to MBworld - recently got an arctic white C350 with black interior, pano roof, xenon, & p2 package.
Would like some opinions on the "buck tooth" look. I bought a front lip in carbon fiber and am thinking of darkening out the mid front section (like in pics) in a matching CF look before I install the lip but it's the one thing I am debating on whether I should really go with or not... What do you guys think, how does it look?

Thanks!

If going with a black grille. Yes, If not, and keeping grille stock, than no. But this is just my opinion.

BTW, the new 2012 c63 is going to have this stock. Check out the thread I made on some pictures.

You could do a vinyl cover and if you don’t like you can always remove it

Yeah, do a Carbon fiber wrap of it. I can't imagine doing anything else. But I didn't see the part about you wanting to put a carbon fiber lip on. Did you want to do this in addition to the wrap, or instead of the wrap. I think that doing both the wrap and the lip are too much. But thats just me.

I'm pretty well 50/50 on the look. I agree with tanktube that a black vinyl wrap is the best option...easily reversable and offers paint protection.

Please check my latest thread entitled "some new pics". O say do it. However, I am quite biased, as I've been rocking this for months.

I just did that recently with some plasti-dip and it turned out pretty good. The only thing is that its a matte black so it would look awkward if the rest of your car has that shiny black like I assume your roof is.

I would do it if I had a car color other than black.

I've never been a fan of blacking out existing chrome...but it's really a matter of preference.
