Question Lamin-X Tail light film suggestion

I'm going to order and install Lamin-X tail light film on my arctic white C300. Plan on getting all the windows tinted at about 35% but keeping stock rims etc. I want to put the film over the red on the tail light and keep the clear reverse like it is. My question is, from people that have used it before, would they're "Smoked" or "Gunsmoke" color look better. I like the style of the AMG mercedes, so whichever one is closest to that. Thanks Guys.

My suggestion for you to achieve best results is to have your tail lights painted/ clear coated to dark cherry... No issues of bubbling or fading

but you still decide to use Lamin-X tint... iLL go with charcoal/ smoked

Please do not use the Lamin-x on your tail lights. It does not work-trust me. The adhesive is not strong enough to stick to the complex contours of our tail lights. They replaced mine twice and it still didn't work even with their "stronger adhesive".
I was going to try the spray tint at the bottom of this page. It doesn't look as "blacked-out" as VHT Nightshades and it is removable.

I have the Lamin-X tint on my headlights. The color is smoked, gunsmoke would be WAY to dark. Granted, the image is edited a bit. But they don't look that far off in person. They stick just fine, it was a paint to install, but not impossible.

Another vote for painting instead of using tint film. I had it on my car and it looked great at first...but after a few months small air bubbles start to form and get bigger over time. From far away it's not noticeable but once you get up close it looks really bad when the air bubbles get bigger. As someone already mentioned...the tint doesn't bond well to our taillights because of the curves and contours of the red section. I did the same thing you want to do...only tint the red...it looks really good but after a while the cons (bubbles and peeling) outweigh the pros (looks cool). I finally just pulled them off a few months ago. Since it's a lease I wasn't going to bother getting them painted

It seems you are both referring to headlights- correct? Lamin-x is great for headlights. IT DOES NOT WORK ON W204 TAIL LIGHTS.
If you noticed- Lamin-x has removed the tail lights from the website.

Tail lights are back up. Does that mean they fixed the product, or just want money? lol
