C300 6 speed?

MBUSA claims 2%, but I think that figure is of total C Class, not just where available (rear wheel drive 300). If you change the denominator to eliminate C350 and 4MATIC, the rate has been reported to be as high as 4-5%, but still a low volume. I get the same reaction, particularly at the MB Service Department!!

When I was shopping two dealers could not be bothered to search. A third found 10 cars within 5 states here in the midwest, 3 red, 3 white, 3 black, and one Palladium in Milwaukee. The highest content level was P1. The Palladium one was on the truck the next day, and in my driveway two days later.

I've never seen one in person and I've been on a lot of MB dealer lots. My buddy at work has a 2007 C230 Sport with a 6-Speed. He said the dealer let it go cheap because no one wanted it with a manual. Since I let him drive my C63 a few weeks ago, he let me drive his C230 since it's been a few years since I've had a manual car. It was a lot of fun especially when chirping second.. OOPS. He's looking for a C300 with a 6-Speed now and maybe a new set of motor mounts for his C230.

This is an interesting part of the story...what did you all go through to find your stick C300? Was it in stock? Did the dealer have to find it elsewhere or order?

2010 C300 6 Speed M/T
I may have told my story before but anyway...
I had just totalled (don't ask...) my 2009 Civic Si last year so was in the market for a new car as long as it was sort of sporty and had a m/t. I also decided to move a tick upscale, had an Acura TL before the Si (it was an auto, the only auto vehicle I had ever had and regretted it every day) and the new TL was, still is, just plain fugly, no matter how nice it was inside and drove with a 6 speed. My local BMW dealer couldn't give a crap that I wanted to test drive a 3 series with a m/t so the next stop was Audi. I test drove an A4 with a 6 speed, it wasn't bad but wasn't very impressed with the 4 banger and at 6'6'' felt too tight of a fit for me. Really wanted to test drive an A5 but there were no m/t available.
Seriously thinking of going with an A4 down the highway from the Audi dealer just for s***s n giggles I pull into a MB dealer. I go and sit in the 1st C300 on the showroom floor and lo and behold it was a m/t! I guess I was lucky? Fate I say.The sales rep was a nice guy, immediately has someone pull the car from the floor so I can take it for a test drive. That was a saturday, by next tuesday when my insurance confirmed the Si's total loss I called MB and picked up the C300 that evening.
I think the engine is a bit low on oomph (and I can't/won't mod it, it's a lease) and I had no choice of options (would have liked the upgraded sound system and navi) but it still feels sportier than the same car with a slushbox.

I had one rare as hell only found one in west coast, though it was a base model with only ipad as an extra however was exactly what i wanted black on black and i didnt have to wait for mine like my friend did...6 months. I wanted that **** right away!!!!

When I went to the dealership back in 08 mine was the only 6-speed on the lot and with the premium, MM and pano roof I signed right away. The dealer found only 2-3 others within a couple of states at the time.

Well hello all! I'm new to the forum and am feeling very lucky! I was in the market for a C300 and found a dealer who carries lots of them, by the time I got there (about a 3 1/2 drive away) they were down to 2, a black auto and a red m/t...I opted for the m/t and LOVE IT!!!!!! So glad I picked that one, with a little push from my husband, lol. Glad to be in the "Rare Club" ! lol.

That has got to be the best optioned manual I have heard of. Mine was quite basic(only the six disc changer and ipod connector as options) but since adding fold down seats and the homelink mirror, has everything I need.

2008 Mercedes C300
I've never seen one in person and I've been on a lot of MB dealer lots. My buddy at work has a 2007 C230 Sport with a 6-Speed. He said the dealer let it go cheap because no one wanted it with a manual. Since I let him drive my C63 a few weeks ago, he let me drive his C230 since it's been a few years since I've had a manual car. It was a lot of fun especially when chirping second.. OOPS. He's looking for a C300 with a 6-Speed now and maybe a new set of motor mounts for his C230.

When I shopped for mine there was 10 out of 250 for sale (used) most C230/C250. Happy i found a C300. A yes people freak when they realize it's stick. I'm in Canada BTW! And loving the 6 speed.

Wow, I had no idea the manual trans was so rare. We bought ours last year as a CPO lease return. My wife found it on AutoTrader.com!
From what I've read it's also fairly well equipped for a manual trans car: P1, MM/Nav, iPod, heated seats, pano roof and trunk spoiler. I feel very lucky to own this car now!
(And I have Sportstick to thank for the nice leather shift knob I bought after seeing his post on the subject.)

I can't front...I get the wow all the time and love it...also don't gotta wry bout the lag complain the 4matic guys have...I live in NY...so stick Benz is not popular cuz of traffic...but I knew it was a good deal...that's y I hopped on it...I only wry about the snow when it comes!! This just makes us special!!
