All about the offsets.10 is not huge but with a low offset it will be a pain to not rub if you don't stretch the tires a bit.

i will post pics 2nite. Matt is the one who helped me with my rim size i was gonna go 9.5 like my last car but I went 10 and it looks sweet. I have a tiny bit of stretch, i woulda tried 285 but I tried the 275s first and they just made it. I can fit a piece of cardboard in between when bottomed, my last rims were 35mm offset 18s and I tried 265 on a 9.5 and it rubbed, so I went 255 and it clared but slightly rubbed the felt inside on bottom out but no probs. I have 235/35/19 w 45mm on front and 275/30/19 on back 40mm and I clear. Your gonna need spacers to clear on the inside and for brakes, and push the rims to the outside, otherwise it wont look good, you want a WIDE stance

10mm up front brings you to final ET 45
15mm in back brings you to final ET 45

I personally think that would look great. If you want to be a bit more conservative you can do 8mm and 10mm

1) on wifey rolling LOW.
2) I would just go 8mm and 10mm then so it doesn't rub on the outside rear quarter panel
3) 245 up front and 265 on the back

Here is a 245 on a 8.5 ET 48 Front
Rear is 9.5 et50 275 rear

ok so ive decided to go 18x8.5 et55 all around. what spacers do you think i should go with to for the most aggressive look without issues and what tire size all around. sorry for being so complicated.

So I am thinking you need to space the front out to at least the mid 40's (see above pic) that 245 looks good on that wheel with that offset so go with that.
For the rear you have options (different size spacers 8mm, 10mm) on how close you want the tire to come to the rear quarter. With a 8.5 there will be no rubbing issue on the inside, but if you start to get close (using spacers) on the outside of the QP then there might be a small risk of rubbage if you are really low and hook a turn to quick or hit a big dip on the highway. Thus is life with lowered cars. I would do 245 in the rear as well to make it easy.

thanks matt you have been very helpful. so 245 all around with 10mm spacers all around on h&r supersport? seems as if everybody is running staggard on 18s. which would be better for rear? 245 40 or 245 35? thanks

ok i think i got it. 18x8.5 et55 all 10mm front 5mm back 245-40-18 all with h&r super sport. so that equals to et45 front et50 rear. sounds good? btw thank you matt.
