One of the forum members took a video of ecu removal to make it easy for everyone else:

You would mail in your ecu and we would modify it and send it back overnight standard shipping.

does this chip void my Mercedes power train or any other manufactures warranties? if im not happy with it i can return the product for a full refund? has there been any issues with the chip damaging the ecu or any other parts of the car, if a dealer tells me the chip damaged any part of my car, will powerchip take responsibility of all expenses including parts and labor to repair my car by a mercedes dealer?

1. Does the tune remove the 135mph limiter? I have Y-rated tires installed
2. Does tune require opening of the ECU? If it does- any history of water damage after opening?

2. The ecu is opened, but can be re-sealed. The ecu is not in a location accessible to water and the engine bay would have to be submerged in water to get liquid inside the casing of the ecu. The covers that MB puts in the engine bay are not always just for looks, they protect the sensitive electronics under the hood as well.
