Audio system upgrade help

I'm trying to do a complete JL audio upgrade from speakers to sub and amp. Can someone tell me what size / type(two way, three way etc...) of speakers do I need and how many of each? I have a w204 08 with non mm package just basic stock system. I would like to know the speakers info to look for deals online. Thanks!

your gonna need 6.5 components up front, 6.5 coaxials in the back, and if your going JL you prob want a cleansweep as your converter and a high channel amp and a low sub amp. Tell me what you wanna spend and I'll give you some details. I have mostly JL in my C, Im almost done with my install. Its alot of work in these cars

In a 6 1/2 inch for the W204, JL Audio only has the TR-600CXI, a COAXIAL speaker not recommended for the front, which requires a separate tweeter for the door pillars. This JL speaker has only 90.5 dB sensitivity, and requires a special bracket to mount, according to Crutchfield. Even with an outboard amplifier, this 50 watt 4 ohm speaker will produce 3dB less volume than just the stock Audio 20 headunit with other more efficient speakers such as the recommended Infinity Kappa 60.9's. One should investigate more viable options.

I looking to spend no more than 1500 for the whole JL sweep. To be honest, I really like the surround sound system in the infiniti G37 and would like something better or similar to that. What do you recommend? Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback you guys, I really appreciate it. It's just that I feel like I do not get the most out of my money when I go to the local audio stores and they always seem to find ways to overcharge you.

Frankly, try and get the HK system out of a wrecked W204, if you are really crazy about surround sound. There is nothing even close to it. The HK as done in the C class and the BMW 3 series, are the best sound. No third party speaker-amp-sub combo will come close.

Keep scouting the junk yards around Dallas-Ft Worth or Houston for a wrecked W204 and pull the HK out of it. Remember the sub is connected with fibre optic and the door panels are different for the rear, also.

I did JL cleansweep, XD400/4 for the highs, infinity kappa 62.9 in rear, JL C5-650 in front (fit perfect no mod) boston G2 sealed 10s and boston gt24 900/1 for the subs. (had the boston sub/amp was from my last car) I got 1100 in parts and a week in labor. sounds awesome, just gotta add an extra battery or capacitor in the trunk, lights dim w the hard hits........

I will say I liked the sound in my last benz better with the HK and the boston combo, this new system is louder and crisper, but I miss the logic7 and 5.1 clarity

i have the hk in my 08 c. sorry but my old aftermarket system im my 05 c simply is incredible with or without the logic7. i used memphis and it kill the hk. with that said you will need amps for your highs and lows. replacing just the speakers wont help.
