Since MB has been making the W204 in China since March of 2008, law enforcement vehicles for China represent an ever increasing market, so why not?

Makes me wonder when China-manufactured C Class vehicles will hit US shores. 2014?

Don't think they will.

Mercedes is building a C-Class plant in Alabama. Not sure when it is scheduled to be in production but doubt they'll be bring them in from China...that is unless there is some economic advantage for MB.

There are a couple of C-Classes on the streets here in Germany as police vehicles, but apparently they are too small. Baden-Württemberg state police just ordered 1000 E-Class wagons to replace their fleet of VW Passat, and E-Class sedan police cars are already on the road in other parts of the country.

They look quite good don't they?

lets not forget, there is little chance of police getting in high speed chases, in urban areas in china. Durability and that environmental impact thing people talk about are the main pluses.
