Should I keep them or have them all painted black? HELP!
Ok so I went and got a can of PlastiDip today for fun. I painted one of my rims all black to see how it would look because I would like to black them out. But before I spent the $ I wanted to see how it looks. Let me know what you all think thanks!!

As you can see in the pic I have blacked out my chrome trim and removed the lower door chrome thing. Also have the side mirrors front part blacked out.
Why gloss black and not matte black?

I already have almost everything blacked out. Just not my tails or head lights yet. I had the tails but they were to dark and I was getting pulled over.

I think it would look hottest if you did what is currently silver in matte black and then left what is currently gloss black as gloss black, it'd be a nice contrast. Dupli-color makes a paint that works well.

I like the gloss black too. When I powdercoated mine I almost went matte black and Im glad I didnt. Looks kinda dirty, its a nice look if you murder out the rest of the car matte black or vynil wrap it, but gloss paint should color key the wheels. And BTW Im digging your wheels matt, I love big lips, the bigger the better. I dont like 95% of the wheels peeps are putting on Cs, but yours are sweet. Are those 10s out back?

Yeah 20x10 in the rear. I removed the black from the lip. I will post the pic soon. I'm liking the all black better. I think when I take them to get powercoated UK going to do glass black to match or maybe matte bronze if someone can't PhotoShop that color on them for me.

Ive only seen one C tucked nice w 20's, now ive seen 2 ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Bronze is a unique look, old school retro comeback, theres a pic of a C63 floating i saw last week on here and it looked good, def sumthin different. I think all black is good, or with a silver lip, either is nice. I did just the centers on mine, left the lip polished cause I didnt do my chrome trim so it looks good. since you deleted the bottom strip and blacked out the trim, all black would go. The big lips get lost in all black tho, silver makes it stand out more, but in ur case either is good. I say all black gloss all the way w yours. dont forget the caps, I had a hard time matching mine up and ended up doing the caps after seperately cause the black gloss ones for sale didnt match well, powdercoat is a different shade even in gloss, not as shiny, its barely glossy............looking good bro

Satin black in the middle with gloss black lip would also look cool! Powdercoat doesn't really hold up THAT much better than paint in my experience, curbing will take either off. Only thing it protects more from is nicks from stuff hitting it, but it's more difficult to touch up than paint. Also you don't have to strip the tires to paint the rims. I recommend going that route. I've painted car wheels with duplicolor paint 3 or 4 times now and had it come out great 3 or 4 times, all for a cost of ~$20.

honestly I found for me its not worth buying tires online. If you use the same place over and over (find a cool rim/tire shop) you get good deals and they include mount/balance. I got my new falkens for 850 cash in staggered 19s and they were 180-190 online. by the time I ship and mount its the same money. plus the shop test fit 285s for me and they were kinda rubbin so I went 275. If your replacing tires in same size sometimes internet deals is worth it, but I use the same shop for a reason
