Magnaflow Mufflers ?
Thinking about getting a set if square tipped mufflers from Magnaflow . Anyone use them before , will I see any performance gains or decreases ?

at first i got them without an xpipe, and it just made a hum, it was no louder then stock just a different tone,
once i added the x pipe i love it, its definitely not the loudest exhaust where they here you down the street, but it does sound really nice and it doesn't sound cheap. it sounds the way a Mercedes should be
if your looking for loud go for elite mufflers and xpipe, or no mufflers at all!
ill upload a video to youtube now let me edit it first though, cellphone quality though

to be honest i only drove the car for about a month without having the mufflers on, and i hadn't broken it in yet so i hadn't pushed it a lot.
but my friends that have the same car say it definitely feels faster
i'll tell you this much, if you have a heavy foot, your gas mielage will go even lower then if you were on stock mufflers, but if you drive normally, it will go higher as compared to stock
at least that how it feels for me like .5mpg both ways

Yeah I had them on my car for a month until I got the meisterschaft exhaust last week. They sounded really good, they are louder than stock by far, much more growl like a V8 not ricey. Alot of guys get the wrong mufflers, you want the small ones w double offset, the smaller the muffler the better the sound. Im selling my setup, pm me if you're interested.

actually the meisterschaft doesnt sound as good as the magnaflow setup I had, talking about just the mufflers. w the stock resonator the magnaflows have a better deeper growl and were very loud until broken in, the meisterschafts look great w the quad tip, but dont sound great. I tried it w the SR pipes and it was ridiculous, sounded like a WRX not what a benz should sound like at all. The drone was horrendous, vibrated the whole car. I ended up using the meisterschafts and a resonator from a CLK and am happy w the sound now. barely and drone and it growls like a v8 again. On a budget teh magnaflows are the best, I would not buy a meistershaft, I would go eisenmann or magnaflow. Ive had 3 different setups on my car so I kinda know from experience. BTW my magnaflows are quad tips polished stainless race mufflers. They are bolt on now, I welded w the stock MB exhaust and took it all off factory style so its bolt back on real easy. got 900 into it selling for 450 free ship. I have meistershcaft SR pipes too for 200, they are 400 option, didnt use them, they are bolt on too brand new

mine have a unique sound, nobody I know or seen on youtube has the ones I got. the nearest similar is tanktubes exhaust, I got teh smallest ones they make in 2.25" everybody else did 2.5 inch with the longer mufflers. The factory exhaust comes out the side, so I went small to sound better, its a nice upgrade from stock mufflers
