What color HID?

So I am getting an HID conversion kit, as well as, LED's for the eyelids. I was looking for opinions on what color I should get for my w204. I was thinking about 4300k or 6000k... I'm leaning more towards 6000k what do you guys think? Also I am thinking about white led's...

I will post pictures when I get HID's and LED's

THANKS

most people on here have gone with 6000k. I went with 8000k heads, fogs, eyelids, sidemarkers, and plate lights. i personally love it.

Hmm.... Yeah I think 4300k is too common since its the same color as xenon's....

I just ordered my 6000k HID kit today. Shouldn't be long before its here and ready to be installed! This is the one I got

http://www.xenonsupply.com/H7-Kits/P...ypage.tpl.html

I payed the premium because it has a 5 year warranty, and the bulbs are made by Phillips. I also got 10% off with coupon code!

Should have gone with AZNoptics. Tested and developed for the W204.

From personal experience, my iJDMtoy LEDs burnt to a crisp. Lol. As did those of others who bought them as well. Hopefully your cutting costs doesn't end up costing you a bulb socket.

Well for the led's I think I am going to go with aznoptics but the HID's I got from xenon supply because their products do have a longer warranty, free shipping and the bulbs are made by Philips, which I've heard have been really good at making HID bulbs. Also they say that if it does give an error or flicker or I'm not satisfied I can return it for money back. So I'm happy with my choice and I guess we will see if I have any problems.

Has anyone had problems with the wedge lights aznoptics carries having heat issues. Because the reason I went with the cheaper 2 led wedge lights is because I've heard some people say the eyelid areas are small and the wedge lights azn carries can overheat... I would like to know if it's false because I do want the ones azn carries so I can support a fellow mbworld member!

running 6k HIDs with Optic's 8k for eyebrows and 5k for license plate. Looks damn good. Might switch for 8k plates and use the 5k for my dome lights tho.

Hmm that does sound like a good match with the HID. I was going to get the 5k eyebrow but now that I think of it, the eyelids will really stand out with 8k (what do you guys think? 5000k or 8000k) rear licenser plate I think 5000k would look good maybe I'll order it with my eyelids!

I think 6000k is the best color in terms of brightness and color (looks), my friend has 8000k and I thought it was more for looks than brightness...

Trust me and get 8k. I was worried about color matching but they came out great. 5k is too white to match 6k hide. Remember the eyesbrows don't shine out like headlights so 8k isn't really blue

Ok that seems like a good choice. Do you have any pictures of your set up?

i'll take some night shots today. btw do you have the lighting package? I'm asking cause your DRLs are gonna annoy you if you dont have LEDs for them as well. I'm still trying to figure out if i can replace the bulbs or buy a new unit all together.

I got my shipment in today. Great shipping by the way, it was shipped using fedex and they shipped it yesterday and it arrived today on my doorstep. I will try to install them tonight but had a lot of work to do so maybe not... I'll upload pics for sure though.

I am going to do it myself, it's really easy and if you loom at some DIY on YouTube it is a simple task! To be honest I am (not going to give age ) but a senior in HS and I don't think its going to be all that hard. Save the cash and buy some more mods .

Thanks for the pics! They are great. Damn I forgot to order the eyebrow led's but I'll still post pics without. I can see now that the 8000k eyelids really math much better. 5000k will look to close the the bottom led's which look kinda yellow when fitted with the 6000k HID's. I really love the look of the HID's can't stand halogen

Hi everyone, I tried to install the HID today and I broke the clip holding the headlight bulb in place. I was watching an HID installation video and one of the instructions was to bend the tip of the clip holding the bulb in the socket. Now I broke the part, where it said to bend, at the two tips point in opposite directions. Now I need some help getting a new clip, I have called the Mercedes dealer and Mercedes parts and they all said that I had to buy the entire headlight unit. This is the only problem I face, and without the clip I cannot install the hid or the normal halogen bulbs.

So in the end, I need some help getting that low beam headlight bulb clip. I don't want to buy an entire headlight unit because feel it is a bit unnecessary for a paperclip sized piece of metal. I really need help you guys because I only have 1 working headlight. I live in Orange, CA so any places around here where I can get my clip would be good. Is anyone willing to sell the part because I am willing to purchase this part.

Also does anyone know where I can get the headlight dust caps.

Thanks guys!! I really need some advise on this one though. Any advise is helpful!

I went with the 6000k HID. It shows a bluish beam when it starts and turn whiter as it runs. I really like it and noticed how effective it is for night drive.
