Finally!

finally had the time to paint the housing of my headlights!! my phone was dead so i couldnt snap any pics, but i will deff throw some at you guys tomorrow.

STAY TUNED!!!

OH and one other thing, if you guys are going to paint the inside of the headlamps i recommend using tape that isnt too stickyy, the reason is because when you want to tape to keep some of the chrome, it attends to take off the chrome with it! ... but thats my 2cents

+1 ON THE TAPE. Said that in my thread as well. Which tape did you use?

Can't wait for pictures and the outcome.

i just used this thin ankle tape that i use during my soccer games lol, but i started using it after i F'd up on a lil spot on the first headlight.. but if you have that regular beige tape that is found every i would recommend taping it on a flat surface first then peel it off, just to lighten up the stickiness

I used the beige 3M tape. Took off some of the chrome from mines as well. The idea of using the tape on a flat surface sounds good. The 3M blue tape should work better for those of you who plans to do the black housing.

picss

i also used the blue 3m tape when i was working on my second headlamp, and it too took off some of the chrome, i think sticking it on the flat surface and then peeling it just to make it weak is a good plan and when you do put it on and remove when finished dont yank it off, try pulling it upwards so it doesnt put the chrome with it when you pull it sideways or what not..

and here are some pics of the lights, sorry if the cam quality taken from the Iphone.

it wasnt hard at all, especially if you watch this DIY made by a fellow member (THANKS!!! lol)... all i did was opened the link and took my laptop next to my car and did what the video did lol, i call it the copycat technique.. after you get your headlights out, some people say to stick it in the oven but i dont trust it. so i just took a hair dryer and set it to the hottest setting and started melting away the sealant while a partner or yourself prying it open.. once i got it open i didnt unscrew everything which most users did. i just unscrewed the bottom piece witch is attached to the outer lens. the rest i just taped up and started spraying
