Squeaking from rear wheel at low speeds
Hello all,
I have just noticed a squeaking at less then 10mph and disappears above that. To me It sounds like a rear wheel bearing (I hope not) any suggestions as to what to check? It is associated with the drive train, not suspension. As I start to roll from a full stop I get Squeak....Squeak...Squeak..Squeak.SqueakSqueakSque akSqueak then nothing.
Much thanks in advance.

It could be the brake pads? 08's and 09's are known to have horrible rear brake pads that cause excessive dusting and squeaking.
Mine even squeak and get dusty real bad in the back. Looking forward to the day I need new pads!

It could be that they replaced your OEM pads with the exact same pads rather than the updated pads specified by a TSB. Here's a LONG thread about this whole particular issue, and the part numbers should be somewhere in there. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...t-no-more.html
But I do know exactly what you're talking about. Especially on rainy days, letting of the brake pedal slowly produces high pitched squeaks until the car gets to at least idling speeds.

Well, if that's all it is then I'll be glad. I can live with that. FWIW the original OEM pads were perfect, right down to the sensors.

Have someone walk beside you & see which rear wheel is squeeking. Then remove the wheel & check pads ,rotor & bearing.

Fixed the issue?
Basically what I did was engage and disengage the parking peddle a 4-5 times repeatedly back to back. Then it disappeared. The noise popped literally JUST today like an hour ago. And after I dropped off my friend, I had to stop many times as the noise was just excruciating. But after stepping on and releasing the parking brake it disappeared. It happened after I had released the parking brake after parking on a small incline, and the "release parking brake" message popped up on the dash. I guess releasing the parking brake while driving didn't fully release it. It's completely gone now, let's see if it stays when I drive again tomorrow.
