Terrible Day.. :(
A day after I got my front lip re-wraped, I was driving on the 10 driving east. driving along with the traffic and minding my own business when out of no where I see something flying up in the air, ( I knew it wasnt just a plastic bag) I hit the breaks and tried to swerve out of the way.. Then i hear a thud, and after looking in my rear view mirror to see nothing had came out from under my car, i realized whatever it was was stuck to my car.. pulled over after exiting on the next exit and found that a mud flap from a car had fallen off and the metal part had cut into my lip and was stuck there. the net like structure in the lower part of the bumper had been poked through with a hole in it as well. does anyone have any idea how much that's going to cost me? (besides replacing the front lip) the "accident" also chipped a part of my bumper, not large but enough for me to notice, is it fixable? would a paint job do? or do i need to replace the entire bumper? Any help is appreciated, thanks guys!

aww man sorry to hear about that, i hate stuff like this so much, cuz aint nothing you can do about it, and it aint even your fault, its just the wrong place at the wrong time.
as for everything on the car, looks like everything can be fixd, youll probably need a new lower grill, but the bumper and the lip looks like can be fixed by body shop, shouldnt be a problem, nothing some bondo, and a little body shop magic cant fix.
feel sorry for you man, what a way to ruin a sunday

I feel your pain, man. This reminds me an accident I got several years ago, when a spare tire from a SUV fell off and hit my windshield.... It's terrible.

You were just in the wrong place at a wrong time... Sorry man!
You'll be better off replacing your front lip spoiler... Removing the 3M acrylic double sided tape from the back side of your lip once it settles is worth a couple of hours work or even more.
We have DIY on how to replace the mesh grille on the front bumper
Hang in there... all it is are just a few minor cosmetic damages. Bottom line is that you got away from it all in one piece

DAMN!!!!! You just got the lip wrapped?!?!?!? That totally sucks. Looks like you hight be able to just get it re-wrapped again and wont be noticeable. The grill you can pick up on ebay. Hit a paint shop up, they might be able to blend the nick on your bumper.

i truly understand how you feel i had a similar problem with road debris but my issue was a broken grille luckily i had a back up but it left some permanent marks on my windshield.

Wow man I'm sorry that had to happened to you, yesterday as I was driving back from a weekend in Orlando on 95 south in Miami I had to swerve so I would not hit 3 2X4 pieces of wood on the road that would have done major damaged to any car

couldn't you file insurance to cover most of the damages? It'd be the same as if someone didn't tie down cargo in their trunk and it fell out and hit your car no?

I'm afraid that my insurance is gonna go up.. and one of them is an aftermarket part so im not too sure if it'll cover, im still looking into it.

same basic thing happened to me. Just tell the insurance company that it FLEW UP and hit you and it wasn't just laying on the road. Your insurance will not go up and they will cover the aftermarket part minus the deductible. When it's a moving object that is hitting you, they basically consider you are not at fault. Should be less then $1000 to fix but you'll just end up paying your deductible. I got a carbon fiber lip out of my deal.

oh dang so sorry my friend. this reminds me of when my buddy's lip completely came off when were were going down the 101. sadly for him though, we were merging into the 101 and his lip flew right off and went to shreds right after.
