Hi I've fitted a 2012 C63 steering wheel to my pre w204 but none of the functions are working no horn, no paddles, no buttons need help.

 

Hi mate i just put one on mine

Installed SCM first
Then steering wheel
Then airback

All just plugged in

Im a manual so paddles are for show lol

But my buttons light up and work

Just no cruise

So if I was to change the scm to a 2012 will that do the trick do I not need to get the steering wheel reprogrammed ?

 

Possibly yes
These are the parts i changed and buttons lit up and volume buttons also worked.

Cant hurt to try if you have the scm that was with the new steering wheel

Very Nice. What is SCM? I saw a guy who just changed the airbag and steering wheel. It works fine with all function, but not lighting up.

 

Scm stands for steering control module. It really can't hurt to have the correct one paired with the updated steering wheel.

so is there any part number for the SCM? and where is it located?
Just plug and play so that the steering wheel can be illuminate?

nope, that is not a FL type steering wheels

Did someone finally changed steering wheel - 4 button to new one - 12 button and it worked? The point is to have at least this 4 buttons still working...
