This same airbag is generally used on W218 CLS, W204 2012 C-class and W207 new E class, I believe different car models have different deployment characteristics, but when the car ask the bag to pop, the bag will pop.

quoted from other thread:
"
Here is the part you need
A212 900 7702 (9051).
The code 9051 is color code for Black. The price is about 350€."
But shouldnt it just be a cable harness change that is needed? Everything else is working like buttons and shifter paddles. I would assume that the + or ground (or both)for the lighting just changed location on the harness? or is it completely different?
DCTMOTORSPORTS, just like Sportstick said - the SRS system is merely sending the airbag a deploy signal (stage 1 or 2).
The airbag is designed to have VERY specific characteristics that depend on the vehicle itself in a multitude of ways.
An airbag from one model of Mercedes might look completely identical, and will fit and plug into another model without triggering an SRS light. It is still very likely to have very different deployment characteristics based on the vehicle it was meant for - it could inflate faster, slower, and in different directions. Many airbag designs have been changed during crash testing because they either hurt or under-protect the test dummy. The wrong airbag might fail to properly protect you in a crash or it might snap your neck.
Your insurance company would have a field day if you had an accident and they found out about this.

Can anyone tell me if I can get a wheel without paddle shifters and stick it on my w204?
Thanks in advance
