W204 2012 - Remove front Dome Light - Pls HELP

Hello,

I'm willing to change my interor mirror (https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...or-photos.html). I found the way to remove it but I need to remove the front "dome light" to have access to the plugs.

Can anyone give me guidance on how to remove the front dome light properly?

Thank you

What I did was I used a small thin flathead screw driver with a microfiber cloth over it. I had actually done one side without using a cloth and I ended up scratching and chipping a part of my dome light, but luckily you can't notice it unless you look super close. Just take the screw driver with the cloth over the end and pry it between the dome light and the headliner and jiggle your way in then pry it out. It should pop right out then.

Thx for your reply.

Is it the whole dome that is supposed to come (incl the base (white plastic) and lights)?

Stick a credit card in the back middle part(side towards the rear of the car) and push up. The whole assembly will fold down and you will be able to access all the wiring from there. Once finished just push it back up into place.

It comes out very easily ;-)
Thank you for the trick.

Now I've check and the 2 plugs are the same for the interior mirror as the pre-lifted model.
I've ordered he following http://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/11068907...84.m1497.l2649

I'll try to dismount the interior mirror to put it on my actual one (as the lights are better on the new model).

The story continue...
