YOU CAN get the wheels new on a car new for 900 bucs its not bs logic its fact, not everything revolves around south africa and how its run, the car and rims and these options are NORTH america. They are still WAY over priced for an 18" rim and tire at 3200 dollars unless you are paying dealer retail, these are take offs, not from a dealer, and have been used if even for a short time. I never have seen anything MB dealer take off sell for that much in the USA, ebay or CL, just stating the fact its a 900 dollar option, not saying there worth 900 dollars.

^ some ppl are ignorent, wheels dont go for $900 let me brake it down, if the car comes with the amg wheels that means it was upgraded to amg wheels from stock. So for example you chose a car n it came with stock wheels u wanted the amg ones ull have to put another 900 + the stock tired to trade them for amg wheels. Plus c63 amg wheels arent the same amg wheels that come on c250 or c350 or any non amg car. They do look similar but most def not the same

I agree 100% - What is up with MB and new wheel design??? I was walking around the BMW lot while my speakers were getting installed next door and they have some rediculously nice wheels on the Z4's and the M cars, not to mention the sport model 3's and 5's - very concave, brilliant finish, numerous styles...etc - MB top of the line wheels all look very similiar and are somewhat out dated in comparison, imo. I still think the AMG wheels are really nice, but get creative already.
That's why I have BMW wheels on my 204.

Something worth mentioning before panties get way too bunched up here...
enochroot states he sold these tires and rims in post number 13, so there was value there for someone who wanted this set up - he does not disclose price but lets assume he got the $2,800 bucks he reduced to price to in a previous post. The Contisport Contact 5p tires in the sizes listed currently total $1,122 dollars on Tire Rack - prior to tax and shipping... +/- $1,500 for the AMG wheels seems reasonable to me, I have read on this forum numerous times about others spending much more for wheels.
C300kid - Are they actually BMW wheels or replicas? Either way, looks beautiful man!

They're VMR wheels. They're not BMW wheels or replicas that Im aware of, but they're designed for BMWs and are very popular in the BMW community. BMW-style I should say..and thanks bro!

I think it is personal. I like the BMW wheels but for me they are all too fussy. A matter of personal choice.
I still like the old AMG Type IV split rim. But that is me.

Ok...
I did some research. Take a look at this wheel options for 2012 C-class.
from : http://www.benzblogger.com/2011/03
One he sold it is 2012 C63 standard wheel, 6th one (style795).
I think that Adidas got confused with this one with 3rd one (style789), which is C350 sport AMG 17".
Anyway, like someone else said, it is not definately same wheels But I don't adidas... It looks same enough! lol
I personally think that 3rd one (style 789) looks better than 6th, C63 standard one (style795). Totally personal opinion tho!
So with that, to me C63 standard one looks nothing special too me...
P.S I personally like new 2nd and 4th one!
Glad to know that they added some new flavors! (1st one is definately no go! lol)
So far, MB wheels looks Better than BMW line up! BMW got not only doing bad with wheel designs... It is their whole new car designs! lol
And the regacy still continue! 7th one in this picture. The famous C63 AMG optional 18"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I upgraded to the style 782 (the 4th one) on my car for $1,040. I didn't like the standard C250 sedan wheels at all, but they are growing on me a bit now. That said, I don't think I would do anything different if I were to order my car today.
The other spoke wheels and the C63 wheels don't really do it for me personally.

MB actually seem to have a large wheel design collection that they rotate around world markets. These are the stock wheels in SA on the Sedan & Coupe if you don't tick the options box & special order.

I am somewhat new to this forum coming from a list of BMWs and having spent a considerable amount of time on their forums; I have DEFINITELY noticed that sellers over here considerably over price their rims. Not sure why, but its very rare to find anything under 1G that are for recent years.
Not directed at the OP in any sense, as I don't have any experience here to actually know the true worth, just an observation of the whole. It's like you stamp AMG on anything (aside from the engine of course) and it deserves a price premium, which I don't really get...but again...im just a newb.

You are lucky you don't live in SA. One Austrian made Genuine AMG rim costs US$1500. All the other standard option wheels that Benz offers here are made by Tiger Wheels SA for Benz OE & much more reasonably priced but still not cheap.

Pretty sure they still outsource the wheel production like they always have; but alas you missed my point. Unless you're tracking your vehicle and in need of light weight 90% of the daily drivers are only after the aesthetics. And yes, the AMG wheels are almost always aesthetically nicer, my gripe is when someone pulls off their basic 17" stock rims and tries to offload them for $1500. THAT is where I see the biggest pricing difference between here and the BMW forums.

I hear you but at the same time.........spare me. I spent a lot of time on Beemer forums and anything with an 'M' on it over there is a very similar gouge show. I hung out at e90post and there aren't many deals there. Guys that paid 2k for rims want you to pay 1700 and then they tell you about the tax you are saving. Then on the flip side, if I would price a 2k set of rims at 1200 I would get every jackhole in Christendom offering me $800. It was worse than Craigslist.
The earlier post is spot on - prices are what they are cos they dont want to sell sets of rims. They are in the car business, not the rim business. They would rather charge up the wazoo and sell rims one or two at a time to individuals and insurance companies who have no choice but to pay it to complete a set.
