FS: 2012 C63 AMG 795 18" AMG Twin 5-Spokes wheels + tires 20 miles on them (like new)
Happy new year guys.
I posted this in the for sale section but thought the C-Class (W204) forum would be the best place for these wheels to go
When I picked up my 2012 C63 back in October the first thing I did was drive it to my local tire shop to have the 19" AMG V 16-spoke's put on.
So I've had the 4 original wheels and tires just sitting in the garage and the girl friend says it's time for them to go.
795 18" AMG Twin 5-Spokes
Front: 235/40 ZR18 Rear: 255/35 ZR18
Wrapped in Continental ContiSportContact 5P's.
They have less then 20 miles on them.
I just spoke with the dealership and they said they sell them for:
(without tires) $900 a piece front, $960 a piece for the rear.
That's $3720 new, with no tires.
The tires alone are:
$254 x 2 front = $508
$307 x 2 rear = $614
= $1,122
I'll sell them for $3200 WITH the tires on them, that's a saving of $1642.
These are practically brand new, no road rash, perfect condition, they have only been driven to the tire shop and around the block.
(the vehicle was never test driven by anyone as it was a custom order for me)
Local pickup only. I'm in Los Angeles, I'm not going to have time to get these wrapped up and shipped out.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
PM me if you are interested!
Thanks,
Paul

Some people love these specific wheels and hopefully will want to buy them for much less then a dealerships price.
... Or maybe you will see me drop the price many times before they sell

I work at a dealership, and just a little hint behind dealership pricing on wheels....... they are not $900ea because they are worth $900, in fact they are in many cases not as good as most of the higher end aftermarket wheels. the ONLY reason they are so much is because if you crack/damage 1 or 2 of your factory wheels, you have no choice but to pay top dollar to match up your remaining wheels. In most cases its way cheaper to buy 4 aftermarket wheels for the same price as 1-2 oem wheels. We typically sell a brand new set of wheels and tires off a showroom car/truck for $800-1500. BUT your wheels are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. GLWS!

$3200? Geez... That is 2012 C63 AMG wheels huh?
Kinda looks like Optional AMG 18" wheels for C300 but not better looking to me...
What is up with MB and new wheel design?

your rims. so you can price them whatever you want, but you may be holding them for a long while, unless you consider a HUGE price drop. and i agree with wsong, it does look similar to the optional 18" rims, which i actually prefer since it's not as polished. GLWS though

Wheels in the sig are the 19" AMG V 16-spoke, not the same as the 18"s I'm selling.
I ordered them from:
http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mer...poke_wheel_454
They are a standard option in the UK and Canada but here in the US they are pain in the *** to get a hold of.
Wheels + tires + shipping = $4000+

Also those rims and tires Ive see acquired for around 1500 with tires. If any one else wants these kind of rims, many dealers sell the take offs when people want aftermarket wheels put on

I agree 100% - What is up with MB and new wheel design??? I was walking around the BMW lot while my speakers were getting installed next door and they have some rediculously nice wheels on the Z4's and the M cars, not to mention the sport model 3's and 5's - very concave, brilliant finish, numerous styles...etc - MB top of the line wheels all look very similiar and are somewhat out dated in comparison, imo. I still think the AMG wheels are really nice, but get creative already.

You cannot compare the option price with buying new wheels. With the option you are paying a top up for the difference between the standard rims & tyres & the option rims & tyres.

In SA alone there are 11 different wheel styles you can select from for your W204. Benz have plenty of wheel styles available. Maybe US dealers choose not to carry them.

Those ARE the same wheels you can get on a C300 I have them stock on my 350 and it was a 900 option not 4800.

I always appreciate your fact based posts Glyn, and I do understand wheels are a very opinion/subjective based item, but BMW seems to be more innovative in styling...just a few examples:

I like the BMW variety but I think the Benz range is equally innovative. Most of them I've never seen on US cars. I think MBUSA may be the problem like they are with packages instead of tick the box & get what you want.

I'm not OMG about the price. I'm OMG about the fact that 2012 C63 amg wheels and optional 2012 optional 18" C350 wheels are same style.
I'm not one of your buddy nor one of your little brother so why don't you stop talking in that manner to others? Talking about wake up...
Actually mattter fact, I'm OMG about the price too now.
This new c63 amg wheels are definately uglyer than older version and it is not a rare item since C300 and C350 owners can get it as optional...
$2800... I would not buy it.

Accept my apology. I thought you were agreeing with him & his lack of logic.

Do you have access to images of a few of the styles they offer down there?

YOU CAN get the wheels new on a car new for 900 bucs its not bs logic its fact, not everything revolves around south africa and how its run, the car and rims and these options are NORTH america. They are still WAY over priced for an 18" rim and tire at 3200 dollars unless you are paying dealer retail, these are take offs, not from a dealer, and have been used if even for a short time. I never have seen anything MB dealer take off sell for that much in the USA, ebay or CL, just stating the fact its a 900 dollar option, not saying there worth 900 dollars.
