Racing v8 s5 tomorrow :(
Well my martial arts instructor just leased a v8 Audi s5 and he wants to race me . Drive around with him a bit and wasn't too impressed but I'm more than sure I'll get spanked . I've taken out a 335 before and these two cars are supposed to compete with each other . Any way wish me luck , will post many sad faces and details of my shame lol .

I must say, I do love the Audi.... unfortunately you will not only be beaten, you will be smashed. : ( Now if you were to show up in this.... it would be a game changer indeed...![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Good luck!![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)

just put your car into dyno mode if you can, not sure on 2010's or at least trac control off. If you learn to power brake launch u would be surprised w a 350. The S5 is fast, u wont get killed tho. Ive taken A5's and 3.0 A4 and A6 no problem. It depends on if its rolling or launch start and the driver. do your best bro.......

As much as I love the c class, its not very fast. How you beat a 335i I have no idea but something doesn't sound quite right. I would know as I have a 335i. They are VERY fast stock and as soon as you get a jb3 in there its a 4 second car. As for you racing the S5 wish you luck but I don't think thats going to help you defeat the V8.

Royce Gracie - youtube.com
At 180 lbs, the toughest man in the world, in the octagon, any weight. Closed in on opponent like a spider, methodically giving his "tap-out" lethal hold.

Try a quick kick to the knee, then grapple him like Royce Gracie.

He was the best period. He took down giants with leg kicks, submission from top or bottom etc.
Of course he did lose too, but don't see how he would be ineffective with how agressive he was in his prime.

If I had to choose a best ever it would be Silva, St. Pierre, Couture, or Hughes..
I was a fan of Gracie's back in the early 90's - but he was mostly submitting guys with arm bars and choking out guys that won the local tough man contest early on - except for guys like Shamrock, who really wasnt that well rounded either...
The good 185ers of today (Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen, Mark Munoz, etc) are not only much more well conditioned, they can all defend basically everything he was doing back then, and are extremly well rounded in all aspects standing or grappling with the ability to knock him out as well as submit him...To be honest, I think a couple of todays 170 pound Welters would have beat him is his prime (St. Pierre, Condit, Diaz maybe???) Would Edgar even give him a run at 155???
Oh Yeah - how about that race - any results? forgot which group of fans I was talking with for a sec....sorry for going off on a tangent there...

I am going to suggest something that might not work at all for the C class, but it could still be worth a try. Most MBs have adaptive throttle control. As you drive, the shift points and shifting speed adjusts to the way you drive. Check out this link:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...set-works.html
Many of the E55/E63 guys that are looking for max performance do the reset from time to time. I have done it on my modded SL55 and it makes a noticeable difference. I always do the reset before hitting the drag strip. You might try it. It cannot hurt a thing. If you do the reset and the shifting feels harsh and uncomfortable to you, not to worry, it will adjust back to your normal driving habits in a few days.
If it works, it might be worth a few 10ths of a second.

Not to put ideas in your head, but if it's street, then the winner is the driver that's willing to go to the higher limit relatively speaking and not the one that drives a faster car on paper.
