due to a recent discovery that my torque arm bearings are probably going bad (still very infrequent and intermittent - thanks to those who helped me identify that), I've been driving with radio off.

funny all the sounds you hear without radio on... I've been hearing relay clicking sounds sometimes. Seems to be coming from dash center or dash passenger side. Sounds like a relay going on/off. When it does it, it will do multiple times.

Any ideas? Did a search for clicking relays and did not find anything.

Is this during the warm up cycle or after shut down etc?

There are many relays that click in & out such as the excess air fan, fuel pump relay, EECS purge valve can tick & so it goes on.

Actually it doesn't seem to be related to warm up or not. It's definitely not after shutdown. Also it sound like to me that it's coming from inside the cabin within the dash area. So, it's normal to be able to hear just the relay clicks? Oh, I don't hear anything turning on or off with what I think are relay clicks. (eg: no fans turning on/off, etc). Just the clicks.

My CD player makes these noises.

Does your CD player make those sounds even when off? Hmmm. I'll have to check. I'm quite sure I don't have a CD in there. And of course, I have the audio system off lately and that's when I heard it.

My CD makes all sorts of clicking noises on engine start up & shut down.

Not sure if u also noticed this... Whenever I step on the brakes I will hear click just below the gearstick area. Anyone experience this as well?

I have not heard any clicks like that. Mine's coming form the dash center/passenger area, at least from what I can tell, and it sounds like a relay click to me.

I can't comment further. Our family C350 makes no such noises outside the engine compartment.
