433MHz. No you do not have to bring it to the dealer to get them synced. Before you drive it though, just go to the tpms option on your dash and reactivate the current sensors to be active.

Also can I use any Mercedes tpms with that MHz or does it have to be a certain part number exclusively?

Any 433MHz compatible to W204. I'm using sensors from tire rack and they work fine. I'm not 100% sure on this though. Someone should chime in soon.

The ones I got from Tire Rack ($39 each) with my winter wheels worked without even having to go into the dash and reactivate - I just drove after they were mounted and they worked fine. Plus they have rubber stems, not metal ones, so I'm thinking they are less likely to break and create a costly headache later (which happened to one of my OEM sensors within 3 months of ownership...).

My first time I put them on it reactivated automatically. After I got my wheels refinished, the tons indicator said it was inactive so I reactivated it manually and it dissapeared. Yes, tire pressure were good. Just a thought I guess if the tire indicator does go on.

EDIT

I think I may go back to what I said about ANY sensor. Guess it has to be 433MHz but making sure its compatible with our w204. Sorry guys

I still have my sensors from my 2008 C350, and they are different color and part # than my 2011 sensors are. I have them in a spare set and when I mount them they find themselves w no reset after a few miles/minutes of driving. I also bought 2 sets off ebay for less than 100 bucks that were 433mhz and they both work fine on my 2011 w spare wheel sets. I do know the batteries are only good for like 5-6 years then they go bad, if you have a 2010+ MY it shows each tires pressure you would know which is bad. 08-09 cars only show good or no good, no individual pressures. When I got the 2011 last year I spent alot of time searching to figure this out since my 2008 had the general TPMS setting, and the 2011 shows each tire individually. dealer said only the part # shown on 2011 parts page would work, but I tested teh theory w my 2008 wheels and they work. So I cant guarantee this but my car seems to work w any 433mhz sensors. My new ones are black made by schaeffer i think, the other 3 sets I have are gray color w same stampings and all just diff part #. hope this helps. and btw I did use a set of tire rack ones that were like 150 for all 4 and they worked fine too, were actually shaeffer brand just no MB stamp on them, maybe worth the extra few bucks to buy new ones from tire rack if your keeping the wheels for a few years, if you buy new u never know if the batteries will go dead and if they do the sensor is junk and you gotta unmount and remount balance the tire just to change the sensor out......

I just ordered a set of these for my 2008 C300. Hopefully they work! Is there a way to test them before I have them mounted in the tires?

Not to jack your thread, but me tpms light stays on at all times. Added air to the tires still on. Let some air out, light still on. After driving a message will pop up saying "tire pressure monitor deactivated. Or something like that. Do I need new sensors?
