Details
AZN Optics as agreed to be a facilitator for distributing SPYDER Auto headlights to the w204 community at a low negotiated one time group buy pricing. Shipping and Payment will be dealt directly with SPYDER with details provided to group buy members. SPYDER has been in the industry for nearly a decade providing aftermarket parts with an emphasis on lighting housing units.

Product
So as some of you know, I've been working with SPYDER to test fit and run endurance testing on their new headlight on my own C300. Fitment is excellent and quality seems to be holding up well after a few weeks of driving (including once during high wind session in desert with dirt/sand/rock/debris flying with no chips/pits). We ran various water tests checking for leaks and condensation including sitting out in recent rain storm, hose spray, and pressure washer spray.

Installation can be done by yourself if you're handy and the following video can walk you through it, but if you're not handy, would suggest professional installation.


The video will show at the end what the lights look like with OEM halogen bulbs.

The following pictures show it installed with LEDs and HIDs installed and turn signals stealthed (although I now have LED option available for the front turn signals)


















There are two versions that will be available. The one I have is the one with the black housing. There is also a chrome housing (similar to OEM stock available). Please specify what version you prefer.





SPECS
Low beam uses H7, High beam uses H1, Eyebrows use 194 Wedge, and Turn signal uses 7507 Bayonet.

Pricing is based on step format with the price being lower once we hit certain buyer milestones.

Shipping is free for lower 48 states. If you are outside this free shipping zone, include in parentheses the country and city and we will message post shipping cost to your area (doing this publicly so others in the area can also see cost of shipping).

Payments can be made via Paypal or Credit Card. Specific payment details will be sent to those after group by has been closed.

Start and End
Group buy begins now and will end 2 weeks from now (Monday, April 2nd at 11am PST). When the group buy closes, I will send PMs to everyone on the list with instructions on what to do next. Should go without saying, but please at the time group buy ends, have the money ready. I don't want to hear that you need to wait for your next paycheck before funds will become available for payment because that holds up everyone else from getting their orders as order will not go out until everyone pays.

I may have missed this, but is there an option for OEM Bi-Xenon option or this GB is only for non OEM Bi-Xenon, or we can specify.

Also, is it just as easy to install like in the youtube video for OEM Bi-Xenons? My OEM Bi-Xenons, move up and down (aligning) when I turn them on sometimes, will this headlight housing facilitate that? Also I imagine there's a way to align the headlight with this assembly as well?

This is for those with OEM halogen. The OEM Bi-Xenon version is not ready for production yet.

Unknown as this point as design team are fleshing out ideas.

 

I'm not interested at this point 'cause I have the LED DRL's, but thank you for spearheading this and making it available to those who are. I am interested to see what they come up with as far as tail lights go.

 

Waiting for more people to sign up before I bite. These same headlights are also on ebay for $380 shipped. Would be worth it to buy if we had 10+

 

I found them for $364.50 free shipping on ebay so im starting to think unless a ton of people do the group buy it may not be worth it.

Agree, but am hoping that others will sign up so there will be the discount. If eveyone waits for the other, it is sure to fail.
We could also say that there needs to be a minimum number by the cutoff date or there will not be a buy.

Do you have a link for $364.50/free shipping so I can send to Spyder to try to negotiate lower price for you guys? Cheapest I saw was $389.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it, but there's no pictures so couldn't tell if they're the same. Going to talk to SPYDER then to see if there's anything we can do with the price.

The ebay ad has the same part # as the one listed in this GB. Also says:

"Manufacturered by leader in the industry SPYDER!"

Think I might wait for possible changes if any. Do you think they'll go through with changes in the design later on or will they just stick to these?

 

yeah good, and i checked it should be the right one since the part number matches that in the video install that SPYDER gives.

For those who are tentative pending numbers, I'd suggest putting your name down with disclaimer on the side specifying you're in if we hit 10 people. That way we avoid situation where if we have 10 people who are waiting for 10 people to sign up and no one ends up signing up lol.
