Rim Advice

265/30 zr19 for rear and 235/35 zr19 for front.

Are these going to be to big? is it gonna make my ride noticeable worse?

Or will i be okay?

Seems to be a popular choice lol. The next hard decision is when to put on these new rims/tires. Canada, specifically Toronto has had some weird weather lately, not sure if we will be expecting another snow fall...

Well I actually have not installed them yet. I'm waiting for them to come with my rims but I'm sure ride quality will change a bitlot bc of running a thinner tire. That eliminates some of the cushion.

You went from stock 17's to 19's (not offered by MB) and felt no difference in harshness? Many people have experienced some harshness with that switch, unless they drive only on smooth roads (lucky them!).

Offsets are 8.5. X 19
9.5 X 19. Just as you hoped. i LOVE the look but i don't want the ride to be soo uncomfortable then before. I had stock 17's now.

The man who sold it to me gave me these "special".. Bolts. Claimed Stock's wont work, and i can't get aftermarket aswell. Took a look at them and the 10 are longer and the other 10 are shorter if this makes a difference.

It's unusual to see no change in harshness going up +2 on tire size ... did you use DWS tires, known for having a very soft tread, contacting the pavement?? Do you drive smooth roads in California ??

With 19's in Toronto, good to have separate snow set. Best way to minimize harshness of 19's is to put on Continental DWS tires, available in the sizes you noted:

Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DWS

To see what 19's are like in your area, see if you can find A W204 C-class with 19's (and stock suspension) for sale .. test drive.

IMHO, one thing you do loose with 19's and 18's to some degree, is tossability, ie driving hard across RR tracks, and on rough curvy roads, with little fear of a pinch-flat or a bent rim.

Just to check changes in tire side positions (outer and inner) vs oem staggered 17's.

Front

tire 10mm wider: 5mm per side = .197"
offset change: 41mm vs 47mm = .236" out more

outer surf: .433" out more
inner surf: .033" out more

Rear

tire 20mm wider: 10mm per side = .394"
offset change: 41mm vs 58mm = .699" out more

outer surf: 1.063" out more
inner surf: .275" out more

Perhaps a fender roll at rear?

That is great info! Sorry, i couldn't understand are you saying there might be a need for a fender roll? Or, implying that i will NEED a fender roll?
