So,
About a month or so ago I put on a set of 19" AMG wheels with 235/30/19 & 275/35/19 tires. The overall increase in wheel diameter is just about an inch so my car rides about 0.5" higher.
I was hoping to drop the car back to it's original height, so 0.5" to a max of 0.75", does anyone have any suggestions or know my options?
My main worry is in the front, since the front bumper does not look nearly as aggressive when it sits further off the ground. My understanding is the spring pads can be swapped from 10mm to 5mm, but these are only in the rear?
Is only swapping out the front coils to get a little lower in the front a bad idea?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Would an option (less expensive) be to throw a front lip on it to give it a more aggressive look?
Any opinions/experience?

Check out the H&R Sport lowering springs, or the Eibach lowering springs. Both are pretty good products, lots of guys on our forum use the H&Rs. good luck!Originally Posted by BenzTWM

you probably mean 35 in front and 30 in back, the way u posted it is backwards. anyway u can simply throw on sport springs, b otht he H&R and the eibachs are almost the same, one is slightly lower than the other, its a baby drop, just what u seem to be looking for. Anyway search for the official lowering thread and look at the pics for reference w 19" wheels, lots of good info in there....

Glad to know you guys are talking about this. I own a 2010 C300 4Matic Sport and ordered 19" AMG sport wheels. The wheels are at my dads shop and he is claiming that the Wheels are actually sticking out of the fender. Is this normal and will this damage the car? Before proceeding with ordering the tires or returning the wheels I wanted an answer from someone who's done the same modification. Thanks!

I need info, WHAT 19" AMG wheels theres hundreds out there. If you got wheels w 35mm offset then they will stick out past fenders a bit and you wont be able to drop the car, thats what it sounds like. These cars need special offsets, the general MB wheels will not fit our carsOriginally Posted by BenzC3004Matica

I own a 2009 c300 4 matic. I want to put staggered 19"s on it and lower it with h&r super sports. I've heard it could damage my car because of it being a AWD is this true?
