Good deal on 2011 C300?

I'm looking at this car:
2011 C300 14039 miles (california)
P1, AMG wheels, ipod integration, wood, silver color
Subtotal $39,940 MSRP $40,815

They offered me $30580 which is $33580 out-the-door including tax/title

He showed me the Dealership spread sheet and the Value listed on the car was valued at 28k and COS(not sure what this is) of $30,380.

What do you guys think?

I'm assuming COS is their asking price so they quoted you more. If the value is at 28k, I think thats what you should be aiming for price-wise, not including tax of course.

aim for lower. I got mine new for 33OTD. Granted its a stripper except for the wood trim but I would say 30-31 is a fair price. And good lord 14k miles for a year old car. I'm just so amazed when I see high mileages I guess.

The car was part of their corporate fleet, which they give as loaners when people come in for service.

I offered him up to 32.7k out the door but he said the best he could do was $30580 which is $33580 out-the-door including tax/title before I walked out.

there are so many Cs out there, I would go for a better deal. 33 OTD would be fair with a CPO warranty added. If your the type thats gonna mod and look for more HP go for a 350 instead of a 300, they are almost same price

Just a reminder, if not already considered, that it is already a 1 year old car, with the related depreciation.

I paid 37,500 out the door for my mom's 2011 C300 in arctic white with tan interior. Carmax had 33,400 or somewhere around that vicinity on the windshield, but after taxes, title, registration etc etc it came out to about 37,500.

Car only had 11,880 miles on it. It has almost all options except the lighting package, leather seats, rear view camera, and the amg wheels.

Blue tooth - check
navigation - check
panoramic roof - check
stock spoiler - check

Considering the car is CPO it is more than a fair offer. The #s they showed you is that they paid $28K for the car and the Cost Of Sale (CPO Warr/CPO inspection plus any other items needed to get it reconditioned for sale)is $30,380. They are making a net profit of $200 on the sale and considering they are asking considerably more than what you are paying it sounds like you did your homework.

Car has P1/iPod/Auto/Wood/AMG Wheels. Orig MSRP was $40,815. CPO Warranty is good until 2/24/16 or 100K miles.

Sorry if it's off topic but is COS a similar term to COGS (cost of goods sold) in accounting meaning it includes labor, materials, and etc?

It is the cost of reconditioning (parts/labor) plus the CPO inspection and the CPO warranty fee that MBUSA charges the dealer for the warranty extension.
