Little help for a Auto Damage adjuster
Hey guys I got a quick question. Sport or luxury? If i walked up to a W203 what would be a dead giveaway that it is a sport or luxury? The grill? rotors? etc etc?

You are in the W204 forum...typo or are you asking about the prior generation? If so, you would do better in that forum. If you meant 204, just look at the front...big star in the grille and flat emblem on the hood is Sport. No big star in the grille and stand-up hood ornament is the Luxury. Of course, folks change these parts (and others) around all the time.

sorry i meant W204.. W203 was easy lol And thx for that. And what about the rotors. The sport comes standard with cross drilled?

Sport has them in front. Another clue...if the steering wheel is 3 spokes and black, that is Sport, 4 spokes is Luxury. But, so few Sport models used the brown interior, MB used the 4 spoke brown wheel for all Lux and Sport.

The mercedes benz site has pictures of both. If you look at the pictures, the differences will be very clear. The differences don't stop at aesthetics so browse through the site to learn more.
But for a dead giveaway - grill, front/rear bumpers, steering wheel, or front rotors.

I have to modify my prior comment. I just had a loaner last night while the E was in for a B service. It was a 2012 C300 Sport with the new brown interior and it had a 3 spoke brown steering wheel. Apparently, when MB did the 2012 refresh, they created a brown Sport wheel, so counting the spokes still works, but there is no longer an exception for brown.

I believe Avantgarde is the name Mercedes uses in other countries for what we call Sport. Elegance is their international name for our Luxury.

I have the adventgarde c300 4matic but it has the sport steering wheel with wood trim on it. Changed the front rear and sideskirt to sport but didn't lower it. Also switch from lux breaks to sports breaks.

Where did your car come from, as it does not sound like a US model? Wood trim is available in the Sport. Not sure what you mean by front and rear sideskirts. There are different sill mouldings on the right and left on Sport vs. Luxury. You changed all four B-R-A-K-E-S ??

You appear to be in California, so it is a "Sport" in the US, as MB does not use Avantgarde nor Elegance on the C Class here. Check mbusa.com.

meaning front rotors has drill holes and stuff

and i read the carfax on it and its from maryland. maybe the previous owner did changed the grill but the steering wheel came with the car including p2, mm, navi, pano moon roof, and that useless ipod cable in the stupid glove.
jealous of canada tho. they got seat memory

dammit. didn't even catch that!!! brakes. yes i had to get calipers for the 2 fronts.
