C350 Grille Install

I received my SLS AMG style grille the other day and planning to install it today.

But I can't seem to find the instructions for doing so anywhere, as they didn't come with the grille.

Is it easy or hard to do this DIY? Does it require bumper removal and what not? What sort of tools will I need? Instructions would be greatly appreciated.

It is a pretty easy job. You can pull the intake hoses right off and then remove the plastic piece on top of the grill.

Should take you 15 minutes.

Here's it installed on the car.

I personally love the way it looks. Goes well with the lip and the contrasting scheme the rest of the car has going.

Really like the 1 fin look. Do you have any side profile pictures? Also, where did you purchase it?

The instructions mention removing wiring on the radiator cover prior to removal, which naturally scares me. Anyone know about this?

You don't have to.

its literally moving a cable, wire is incorrect. its a black insulin sleeved cable thats thick enough to take 5-6 cuts at it with a scissor before snapping it in half. dont worry.

Looks great, nice upgrade...

**Off topic** - Not sure who recommended this on here, but I tried it after my trip back from South Carolina a couple weeks ago and your picture reminded me....BUGS - take a dryer softener sheet, hose the front of your car off, wet the sheet and gently wipe using a back and forth motion very lightly, no pressure required, the bugs literally just "melt away" - one of the best tips I have had in a long time, no effect on the paint at all....

I do a lot of highway driving (20,000 km's in 4 1/2 months) between Calgary and Edmonton so bugs are pretty much always there. The automatic car washes here have a bug spray that you can use before entering the wash which pretty much melts away the bugs as well. Works great, but thanks for your tip, because I like using the coin operated, hand wand car washes.
