The garage door opener on my '08 C300 stopped working. Fuse is OK. Tried reprogramming; wouldn't take. The opener receiver did not indicate that a signal was received. Other car still opens the garage door.
Any ideas of what to check?

Try programming one of the other buttons.

Try resetting the entire system by holding the two outer buttons until it blinks rapidly then start fresh.

Thanks for suggestions. I tried clearing and then reprogramming. Did not work. Also tried using one of the other car's opener buttons. No help. Also tried to program a different garage door opener. No help.

There have been a few cases here in the past where the owner sourced a new mirror (match the color) from a salvage yard since they are interchangeable.

Thanks, RLE for the feedback. Are you suggesting that the garage door opener is fully contained within the mirror?

No offense intended but to rule out user error, have you been performing the steps in the video below?

I believe so. A while back, someone with a stripper C300 without door opener buttons on his mirror found a used one and after swapping it for the original had working door opener buttons.

Yes, all the wiring is there for a straight swap for a dimming/home link mirror.

Unfortunately there is a supposed incompatibility with garage door openers here in Australia so I have a Gray one in my car that I cannot program to open my garage door. You can imagine how annoying it was after organising to find a compatible one and ship from the US! I do find the self dimming handy though. I also have another black one with homelink/dimming/compass in my garage because the salvage yard originally shipped me the wrong colour.

Success! Only thing I did differently was to have a helper so that the programming steps could be done more quickly, although I am pretty sure that I was always within the allowed 30 seconds after pressing the garage door learn button. Still have no idea why it stopped working in the first place. Thanks to all for your help.
