2008 c300 what to look out for/any good aftermarket warranty
Then again, cars are meant and they like to be driven. I'd definitely give it a very thorough once over or get a PPI just to make sure everything is up to speed. W204s have proven to be very reliable without any major headaches or common issues, so from that point of view he should be good to go.
I don't have much personal experience regarding third party warranties, but what I have learned during the years is that pretty much all of them are nothing but expensive headaches. Your dad might be better off putting the 2-4K it usually costs to get the warranty and use it if and when repairs are needed.
Choices for aftermarket navigation are limited, but you might want to check at least this thread for some info. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ade-found.html
Haven't researched retrofitting Xenons, but IIRC, it should work pretty easily. But I'm sure somebody else will chime in on that.

The gross margins are enormous, which should tell any rational person that the risk is slight, so just save some money (Put the premium equivalent in a savings account you will not touch) and avoid all the sleazy sales people and claims reps!

Then again, if you want to make sure everything is up to snuff after pretty much sitting all theese years, why not change them all: oil, coolant and brake/transmission/differential fluids?
Small investment for the piece of mind.
I still haven't found out if it's possible to upgrade from halogen to xenon headlights? If anyone could chime in...
comes with: bulbs, ballasts, wire harness

I'd change everything out. Trans, brake, engine, and radiator coolant. That deteriorates as well and it doesn't cost much and is easy to do.
Check the R134 in the AC and make sure its up to snuff, change the cabin and engine filters. Basically I'd just baseline the whole thing.
Chances are the tires are flat spotted. They do have a shelf life as well. Check them closely.
