What's under the spare?
My wife's 2008 C350 was rear-ended recently. Back from the body shop, she's convinced she head more road noise from the rear. Today we looked under the trunk mat, saw the spare tire, and it was just sitting on bare metal.
Looking in the same area in my 2007 E550, we see lots of sound deadening material. If any of you can take a quick peek at your spare in your C class and tell me if you see metal or sound deadening material, I would greatly appreciate it.

One of the easiest place to improve cabin noise. There were a couple threads already regarding adding sound deadening material in that section to improve cabin noise.
