The C300 intake design is a Ram Air style. You can use K&N drop in but it is not usually recommended. There have been reports of the oil from the K&N filters damaging the MAF (Mass Air Flowsensor).
If you use the Search feature at the top of the page you might find numerous posts pertaining to Air Filters in the W204 C-Class section.

Funny, I've never seen those posts and I myself have run k&n in numerous cars. The main problem is ppl who overoil the filter during cleaning.

I have ALWAYS installed K&N filters in my vehicles, but when I read multiple posts reporting the same issue- Why take a chance? I have a K&N on my 2013 but the Intake/Throttle Body design is totally different and the engine definitely increases in performance due to the Turbo. Not much gain in the NA V6 of the C300/C350.

BTW...

If you want to go with an aftermarket cotton filter, but don't want to risk fouling the MAF, buy the dry-flow filters from AEM or aFe.

You have always used them so you should have firsthand experience on whether or not they actually clog the MAF yet you're just regurgitating unproven sentiments of other members. You contradict yourself and have an attitude, simmer down fella.

OP- if you have any issues with the K&N- send the repair bill to Knightmare
