PowerWheelsPro 818s Installed - Pics

Just a couple of pics of my 17" PWP Style 818s installed today. Love 'em. Great, inexpensive upgrade! OUTSTANDING service at PowerWheelsPro and BenzElite of Alexandria, VA! Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

Thanks. Yes, staggered. Used the originals Contis for now: 17/225/45 and 17/245/40.

OMG I love those wheels. Always wanted those since I saw AMG originally do it but love the replicas. Didn't realize power wheels made them in the same size as the factory 17". May have to check them out.

Thanks. Here's another pic showing how they fit. And again, I can't say enough about PowerWheelsPro - GREAT customer service! I also included a before and after pic of my car - wheels, tint, blackout grille.

So stock tires seem to work fine for the 17"? All you did was switch out the rims?

Yup, no problem with the stock tires. The front rim was 1/2" wider and the rear 1/2" thinner, but no issues at all with the fitment. When I need new tires, I'll probably do away with the staggered fitment.

then didn't you switched them around? if you put the rear to the front and the front to the rear, then it'll match perfectly no?

No, I went from staggered rims (7.5 in front and 8.5 in rear) to 17x8 all around. The new rims are not staggered.

Wait, they're in Alexandria? Did you have it done at their shop or something? I definitely wouldn't mind driving up there for that.

What was the total cost?

PWP is in Michigan, but they got the wheels to me in 3 days. BenzElite is a separate shop and is in Alexandria. Great shop! Rims with shipping were $514. Dismounting/mounting (with TPMS swap)/balancing/remounting on the car was $130. BenzElite took me as a walk-in and had it done in less than an hour.

So the new tires will all be the same size, as the new wheels are now all 8" wide.

While using up the original Conti's, I'd suggest putting the wider tires on the rear, and he narrower tires up front ... purley cosmetic for a semi staggered look for now.

.

can i ask you to take a picture of the AMG logo in close up? I know it is not engraved and I just want to see how neatly it was done.

I'll take a pic shortly. The logo is actually nice, not cheesy at all. Made of metal (aluminum, I guess) with double-sided tape on the back and fits neatly into the groove in the wheel for the logo. I'll post something right after dinner.

I'm about to get these wheels in 17". I LOVE the way the sharp angles on the wheels make them look "blacker" in areas vs the oem wheels (I guess it's due to a slightly darker finish, as well as shadows and such).

Did you get 42 or 45 offset?

45mm offset. I think it brings the tires right flush with the fender lip.

Center caps

I just bought some 18" from them, do they already come with mercedes center caps?
I of course could just wait it out until they arrive to get my answer, but having the right caps ready to rock, would be that much sweeter!
