In Dash GPS/DVD Recommendation
I'm looking to upgrade my stock 2011 C300 Audio 20 to a cost-effective in dash GPS/DVD/BT Audio system. I've seen the UMI and Comand options on the forums but there's a few on ebay that look pretty inexpensive and possibly the best route to go.
Have any of you guys used any of these or have recommendations of the option that is the most bang for your buck? I want to be able to have a flip up screen with GPS, DVD, and stream BT audio with iphone/ipod. Some nice optional features might be for rear-camera, tv tuner, divx, etc.

Why don't you try it and do complete pictured of your install. I would be interested to see the install and how well it works.....

Yep, was planning on doing that. I'm definitely not an install expert, but I've installed a couple other stereos into other types of vehicles so I'm sure I'll work my way through it. I'll take pics and post them here. Could be a cost-effective solution (hopefully).

Ordered the first one I listed above, we'll see what happens once I get it. I can say so far the customer service has been amazing and it's building my confidence a little. Please they have a few positive feedbacks from people that bought the same unit a month ago, 3 months ago, and 9 months ago.

No description on anything, how many audio amplifier watts or channels, does the screen just stick up for those with the 5" screen? Whose map system does this unit use? Does it come with all necessary cables? Warranty?

It's basically just the screen with a GPS system.

It has an 8" screen and comes with all the cables necessary to install it. I believe they said the map system was iGo and I found out that it does DVD, video in motion, has the ability for a rear camera, BT Audio, uses the stock steering wheel controls, etc. they said the screen is spring loaded to open and it can play divx among other formats too.

Just a quick update....the ebay listing above for $670 shipped ended up not being the best price I could find. I found it for $579 shipped on aliexpress.com instead (so I cancelled my ebay purchase and bought it through aliexpress instead).
I ended up asking quite a few questions to several different companies that sell this unit and got the install instructions and instruction manual from them as well.
I found a site that has a very nice presentation of the unit photo-wise, even though they didn't have the best price. It also includes some more detailed features and specifications for any of you interested:

As soon as I receive my unit, I'll take some detailed photos, make an attempt at a DIY, and probably make a Youtube video as well. If this delivers half as well as advertised it could be a really good inexpensive option.

Received the item today and have a few unpacking photos. So far I'm pretty impressed. The weight of the items like the dvd player feels solid and high quality, and everything looks extremely professional and well presented. Not sure when I'm going to start the install, but I'm pretty excited!

Hi vari im glad to see you made a purchase on that website alix... anyway are they trust worthty? im kind of scare about buying the same unit as you because i have read some review on that website and most 80% said its bad or a scam ... please reply and Im waitting for u to install in please post each steps of the installation if its not too much to ask for. looking to upgrade my audio 20 too, just bought the W204 last year.. thank you
