Hello, I'm brand new to MBWorld.
My partner and I currently live in New York City but are relocating to Miami. Neither of us have leased/purchased a car before - no need in NYC - so I'm looking for some advice.
We recently rented a C250 from Hertz and loved it so I think we both want to lease C250 or C300 sport sedans. We think these are our requirements:
2013
12k miles/year
Premium 1
Multimedia
- What do you think our lease payment and down will be?
- Given that we are leasing two cars, should this entitle us to some sort of discount?
- Anything else you recommend we consider?
Those with the C250 or C300 - are you happy? Thanks in advance!

No way you'll get a discount for leasing 2 cars; but you can get a savings on your insurance by insuring both cars at same place.
My leased car is configured the same except I have wood trim and rear spoiler. I wish HID (xenon) headlights had been available- not impressed with the halogens.
With capitalized cost reduction of $6494 (trade in credit and cash) my payments for 36 mos, 12,000 mi a year, is $376/mo. I got them to include 3 yrs free maintenance.
Absolutely love the car. Not so much in love with the leasing. Wish I'd put more down for a purchase instead.

I just got the C250 coming from an E class the C is a bit under powered to me. The 1.8 turbo engine needs a stronger boost. There is no pickup when you floor the accelerator the only reason I got it was to get better fuel mileage. The wife loves the car so I let her drive it I'm sticking to my other car. I guess I'm spoiled with V6 power but everything else is fine. Oh one more thing the Mbrace sucks so get the 3 month free and cancel after, it's virtually useless.

I'm kind of surprised it would be $376/month with that much down, but maybe it's the 36 month lease vs 27? I was anticipating it would be ~$4000 with around $2500 down and 12k miles. For a C250, that is.Originally Posted by Citation Driver

The C250 should suit your needs perfectly. I live in one of the most brutal areas in the US with traffic and it is comfortable, economical and quiet. The 1.8 liter has a flat and long torque curve, so it pulls nicely once the turbo is spooled.
It has more than enough power for any situation you will find yourself in on the road - particularly out on the freeway where it pulls hard when you need to. It does not "need more boost" and does not have "no pickup"...

Are you referring to the NIH area/Bethesda Row? Cause that strip is pretty brutal in rush hour.Originally Posted by MDMercedesGuy

I stay as far away from 355 in that area as possible - I used to work at NIH, and had my fill of it before BRAC happened. I live right off of 355, so I can't avoid it completely... try as I might.Originally Posted by panda.man90

The DC area in general is just rough with traffic - most of my commuting is up and down the 270 corridor now.
The C250 or C300 are quite good city cars. I too live in DC area and the compact size really helps. I don't find the C250 lacking in power in any way. To be fair, when I was looking the new C300 with M276 engine wasn't available. But I didn't want all the hassles of 4MATIC anyway.
Either one you pick will be fine.
Mine is a C250 Luxury with Multimedia package and Premium package. Sticker was almost $43k, got it for around $37k. I think I got a good discount because I got a Luxury model, most people want the Sport model, making them less inclined to deal I guess?
Good luck!
