300 HP out of C300?

There's a pretty slim chance for 300hp out of the M272. Tuned, it is at something like 245? And I don't know if headers are made for the 3.0L, I think just for the 3.5L in the C350.

Unless you are willing to do something absolutely insane like add Nitrous- you won't reach 300 hp. Even if you could- it would be more cost effective (and safer) to trade your car for a C350.

I have a 09 c300. A tune+minor extaust mod+k&n filter will bring you to the same level as the 2013 c300 4matic 3.5l. Me and my friend who has the 2013 did a couple test and our acceleration is about the same.

Hows the steering feel on your c63 compared to c300? After borrowing a buddy's e90 335i for a week I find that the steering response on the c300 is life less.

It was so different, so much faster, so much more responsive, I was afraid I was going to oversteer and cause a terrible wreck (I survived, me and the car unscathed). I don't know if you've driven an e93 M3, but the 63 is probably about the same/maybe a teeny bit less responsive than the m3.
If you're ever in the 919 area, hit me up I'll let you try it if I can drive your monster (lol jk, you're far away so you probably won't bring it down, but I'll still give you a shot if you want) :P, I love the mods on your car btw.
EDIT: forgot to mention I'm a pretty new driver which is behind most of my uneasiness, but for someone with a few years of experience, making a switch won't be too bad.
EDIT 2: I don't want to hijack this thread, feel free to PM me if you need anything!

So, I don't know if you had heard this earlier or not, but I picked it up from around 200-250 miles away, and the drive home, oh boy!

Has anyone used obx headers? They are under 400 vs. kleemann 2200.00. Is kleemann 5 times better? Does anyone have any performance specs for both. I think I will go with headers, exhaust, tune, k&n, work on the air box and maybe add a slk Intake Manifold. Any other ideas?

I got my OE Tune and handheld tuner for $595. I won't say that it transformed my car into a rocketship but it definitely gave it a healthy bump in power and a bit more enjoyable to drive.
If I ever decided to install headers, it can add another nice little bump as well...

Trade it in for a C63 is the easy answer. I did OE Tune and almost dabbled with the rest but it's honestly not worth it for the maybe +20 HP you'll get. The M272 is a good reliable engine in that year but the 3.0L version just doesn't have much in it really. Find a C350 if you want a small bump in power or snag a C63 for the best feeling w204 variant.

One reason is the “personality” of the M272.
It is a naturally-aspirated engine without a turbo or a supercharger—> it hasn’t got that much torque and delivers the maximum torque at quite high rpm.
