Satin Black vs Flat Black Headlight Housing
I recently blacked out my headlights and am pretty happy with the results. It makes for a much meaner front end, but I think I went with the wrong color. I chose satin black because I saw quite a few people on here using that, but I think its a bit shiny. I'm thinking of redoing and using flat black and was wondering if anyone has used that instead and have. I plan on using Krylon Fusion. I would like to produce something close to what Mikonuj does. I can't tell what type of paint he uses, but it looks a bit like flat black? Anywho, any help is appreciated!

1. Remove headlights and all screws holding it together
2. Put in oven at 200degrees for 10 minutes (one headlight at a time on a cooking pan; use bakers gloves)
3. Pry the silicone apart and pull the lense away from eachother with a flat head screwdriver
4. Paint the inside; use painters tape and be very precise
5. Put it back together loosely with some new silicone
6. Put it back in the oven at 200degrees for 5 minutes
7. Take it out and push it completly together, including screwing in any screws or clips that hold the lense together.
8. Put it back in the oven at 200 degrees for another 5 minutes.
Final- Re-install on your car and drool all night. This is about 2-3 hour process depending how long it takes you to paint and prep. Silicone $5, one spray can $5
