is this even possible to steal? frustrated

so i woke up this morning to find a piece of my bumper removed. ill attach a picture because i cant describe it too much. whats the part number for this & the purpouse ? im so mad.

description.
rear bumper. looks like a diamond shape cover that goes by the chrome strip.

Yeah, into someone's pocket... I noticed my front one is held on with a tether. Didn't check the rear one though. I guess if they yank hard enough the tether will break off too.

thats how it looks like, i ordered one online and it was too small. dose anyone have the part number for this piece?

So what you guys will recommend to prevent this to come off easy...Super Glue? I would hate to lost this thing over and over.

No.....because if you need to use the hook, you won't be able to remove the cover...

anyone willing to grab me a part number based on the image i posted above? I can only find it at rock auto but its only primered and im not even sure if its the right piece.
