If your tires are at least 50% I swap out your rims and tires and TPMS (direct bolt on swap) for my powder coated black stock 17 rims and tires (tires have 6000 miles on factory Conti) for $ 275.00 I work close to LAX
Ill get back to you on that. I bought my car used with like 10,500 miles and now it has a little over 11,000 but i swear they put on brand new tires before they put it up for sale. Im on vacation in FL right now and when I get back im going to get my tints done and maybe HIDs so i wont have any money after that. Do you gave any suggesstions on percentages for tints? I dont want to do the front just because I cant afford to get a ticket right now

I always do all my cars (more than 10 now) with the same guy in Santa Clarita Ca - Jimmy at Black Diamond. All of my cars and SUV have been done with either 30-35% on all the side windows (front and rear) and usually 15-20 on the rear. My C 250 is 30% all around except the windshied and its not dark enough to attract a ticket but looks good, on a white car it would look even darker I make a 130 mile r/t drive from the desert to LAX at least 5 days a week for the past 20 years and have never had a tint ticket, have been pulled over and ticketed a couple times for speed but the CHP never wrote the tint. IMO if you stay at 30-35% on all sides you wont have a problem. I think that by only doing the rear windows it makes the tint stick out and more obvious and attracts attention as well as doesn't look as good.

How much did you pay to get your tints done? My family has been going to this one guy for a really long time and he told me $140 to do front and back when i was originally going to do 50F and 20R. My cousin has gotten tickets for tints a few times so I guess cops in Torrance are bad but he has Limo in the back and the % before in the front on his audi and hasnt been pulled over yet but im younger than him and hes 21 so im not ready for tickets at a young age.

Using Limo on the back will get the LEO attention, I interact with a lot of LEO and what Im always told is the most important thing that they want is to be able to see the occupants as they approach, Limo is black and even though it is legal on the back window it draws attention and then adds to the possibility of a ticket. If you go with a 30-35% or even 20% during the day the outline can still be seen from outside and especially with the 30-35% it adds to the look and reduces heat but is not blacked out to cause problems unless you are already causing a problem to be stopped, form my experience.

I paid $ 200 to have all 7 windows done and the sunroof in 30% on my C 250. with a lifetime warranty. I think he used 3m this time but I know he did my H2 in Llumar, anyway they always come with a llifetime warranty. As I said Ive had 14 cars/ SUV /Van done by them over the past 20 years and never had a problem (2 Ford SHO, 2 H2 Hummers, E 350 Van,Lincoln LS, Infiniti M45, G37s, Mustang GT, Charger SRT,Prius, C 250, Ram, Ranger)

Thanks thats actually really true i do think that limos attract attention but i still might go 20% or maybe 30% in the rear and none in the fronts. I know it will look weird but it will be better than having none at all. I have a feeling I might get a ticket for something else other than tints but im still not going to take that chance. And plus being young, cops are always ready to give us tickets or find something we're doing wrong. Im hoping to get HIDs installed too, 6K should look fine right?

I know there is lots of threads about super sport springs but I just wanted to know for those of you out there would you recommend getting them. Coilovers are too expensive to get right now or should I just wait? Also any suggestions on trunk spoilers I have enough money to get one Im just a little unsure on which one is good

JBSpeed for the trunk spoiler. Mine fits perfect.

I plan on getting super sports real soon, too.

If you can wait and get coilovers in the future, you will be more satisfied guaranteed. In my opinion coilovers deliver a much more smooth ride and feel more "solid" if you know what I mean, and sometimes they can even increase handling.

thanks can you upload like a picture because the pictures they have arent far away but im also looking in to the renntech style trunk spoiler. they have replicas for around $180 because the original is around like $1600 or more. I want to get the super sports to lower the car but since my car is pretty much new i dont want to mess the suspension. also i want to get the clear side markers like you said

thanks. im really just interested in the drop mostly but not low enough to were im dodging everything because i dont want to scrape. i really want to get the cf front lip and after that and a drop ill definately scrape but thanks for the advice. i was just going to go with the springs because i wont really have to take out a lot of things from the car. I dont really want to make this a little tuner car. maybe when i get a c63 ill make this a full project car

This page has 3 posts of the same spoiler I have, the AMG style painted body color. I also have the spoiler visible in one of the pictures in my garage.

There's no harm in changing springs on a new car. Go for it!

I want to be a little different and go for the renntech style spoiler that looks like a little wing type thing. i guess they call it a v-style on ebay. i like the vorsteiner style but only on the black cars not the white. thanks i will after i save up again because im going to blow all the money i have right now. i think the clear side markers are next after the spoiler the orange ones are hidious

I see....and yeah if you ever do get springs/coilovers I would recommend dropping it an inch or so, so the tire is in line with the fender to give the car a nice clean look. Anything lower would look cheap and not clean.

I picked up the spoiler for my car from Carid

http://www.carid.com/2012-mercedes-c...er-913614.html

Perfect fit and paint match, cost a little more than similar ones on E Bay but if I had a problem with it I wanted to be sure I was buying from a bigger store that would stand behind it.

I actually like the set up mercedes has right now stock but the car definately needs a little more drop just like an inch or so like what the springs get but our cars dont even clear over the cinder blocks in the parking spots so dropping it wont even bother me at all

Yea the price is actually not too bad but im looking for a carbon fiber spoiler but not real cf because thats way out of everyones price range. I dont really see people with the renntech spoiler amd i really like it and ebay is the only ones that have it cheap. Do you by any chance know the paint code for the mercedes paints?

Did you ever get tint for your car yet? I read your post regarding which tint level to choose, and was wondering if you made a decision. If not, I recommend 20% all around. (Except the windshield obviously) This tint is dark enough to have that awesome aggressive look you desire but light enough where cops will not pull you over, as well as driving in nightly conditions. I have to go to a body shop tomorrow to get some quotes, once I come back I will be posting pictures for you to see 20% tint all around. However, I have 50% tint on the front windshield, which makes my 20% more along the lines to 15%, but still light enough not to draw attention.

As for you receiving any tickets you most likely will not if you go with the 20% setup. If you live in California I would not recommend tinting your front windshield, that is a cop magnet. In addition to all of this, I guarantee I am younger than you just throwing it out there.

20% in the front is definately not good in California. That attracts cops like nothing. I was thinking 50% in the front and 20% in the rear but havent fully decided yet. I was quoted $140 from this guy my family always goes to just to let you know. Im pretty sure you can't beat 16 because younger than that you wont have your license in Florida just saying so I don't know how much younger you can be?

The light looks really uneven and doesn't take on the shape of the side markers. I think you should buy a sheet of white vinyl (1'x1' should give you like 6 tries to get it right), and put a layer of vinyl over your side markers. This way, light still shines through, and evenly, but when the lights are off, the side marker totally blends in with your car.
